Plus future employers, partners, grand kids, mainstream media, political parties, advertisers and your mother.
Assuming you use a soft wallet, only keep < $50 controlled by those private keys.

How many peeps do we need a day in order to clog the network like crypto kitties did?
Once peepers peep for free, then there are only approx 24 transactions a day as Peepeth is batch saving all the free peeps. This is reguardless of how many peeps.
1 or 1 million or 1 billion peeps ~ 24 transactions a day.
That is scaling.

Just wondering, What data is replicated on IPFS vs. the Ethereum Blockchain? I imagine images aren't stored in any contract as they are expensive.
Stateless smart contract means IPFS hash is transaction input only. Everything else (images, JSON of peep, batches of IPFS hashes) is stored in IPFS.
For speed, the front end uses a centralised database for data and AWS for images.

What's the point of saving to the Blockchain if my data is replicated on Peepeth's servers anyway (At least it seems like it)? Anyone care to explain whats going on behind the scenes?
Anyone can create a client. You can write to the smart contract directly with no censorship.

Thanks for the heads up. Is this happening every time? Often a random timeout will cause this and trying again usually works. Save-via-Peepeth shouldn't make a difference (unless the problem is caused by a firewall). IPFS issues should soon be solved. Thanks for your patience!
I had it a few times in a row. So was trying different things to peep.
Itโs been a big Peepeth day.

@bevan needs funding for a mobile app and to keep building out features (replies as replies rather than repeeps). Developers need to eat.
Nothing wrong with an ICO if itโs appropriate for your model and follows regulations.
