interesting read! i just meant that we might want to try to popularize dapps that compete with platforms whose companies aren't looking to rely heavily on them for $. as those companies are likely the most willing to decentralize their applications.
The transparency of data could be a blocker for many businesses. e.g. defentralised pizza ordering.

The smart contract supports it but I don’t think it has been added to the front end yet.

you see the reason that peepstreaks were released now is because bevan wanted to get the highest one. no one was trying but him, because no one knew, and then he released it and is now sitting at a 106 peepstreak

for example: if uber was theoretically (long game) looking to make their main revenue source in research/car development.. with enough social pressure/decentralized apps to compete with it, we could make it expedient for them to decentralize their platform
The stratechery view is that Uber should focus on the app portal as moat rather than self driving cars. Though a dApp with enough installs could then compete.

Interesting. I tried to look at it from the perspective of tokenized game data, where each token represents a noun or verb (n: cryptokitty, v: breed, etc.). Wouldn't block times still be a major constraint though?
Scaling is key. Loom Networks dApp chains are worth a look.

For the unaware, I'm a huge proponent of #cryptogaming, especially from a game balance perspective. Freely exchanging multiple assets at once to effectively barter seems great, but is the value-add chiefly trading or is there more? Can anyone explain what ERC-1155 enables?
It aims to reduce cost, both for game asset creation and for transfer.
