I was wondering, if peeps are stored in ethereum blockchain and at the same time are moderated by content - how exactly moderating process looks like?
Peeps are in IPFS with the hash (or hash of a batch) as a transaction input in Ethereum.
Moderation is mostly client side.

Weird that Peepeth is hiding “political” posts be default. Whats the point?
Politics can be very polarising. Self tagging means peepsters can choose if they want to view or not. Hiding by default means it is easy to skim past.

5 kids and 25 minutes is amazing. I just have one and it is more closer to the hour. (Though often I’m working so it is my wife instead). I ate a lot of snacks last night.

I don't see talking about pol*t**s as being negative. I talk about it to try and resolve issues in our rapidly changing world. It is usually the responses to my posts that are negative. I'd like to think I write with passion not soullessness. Moderation or censorship???

Adding functions like reply repeep and such before the public release. Unfortunately I did not find a good vector icon for esno. So it is the heart again for now. Fun fact in the API it is also still called love - not esno - so the heart is quite fitting ;-)

@bevan Wondering why linking a Github account is so (relatively) expensive? Not complaining, just curious.
Peepeth currently monetises through a cut of tips and verifications (Twitter and GitHub). Please feedback monetisation suggestions so that @bevan can make sustainable.
Verification is one of the ways that peepers can qualify for free peeping.

But how do you define "microblogging with a soul," let alone enforce whatever you believe that is? Seems antithetical to the whole point of decentralization to me.
Peepeth (client) has a code and is moderated according to that code

Decentralisation means that you can build on top of Peepeth data to create your own client which can be moderated or unmoderated.

It could pose a security risk, as you're not signing it. I'm in no way savvy to pull it off, but something tells me that there are people who would be able to hack it so that you send them max funds from your account together with your next automatic signing step :)
We have to trust the signer with our private key. The way most apps handle this is to get confirmation every time.
A native Peepeth client could sign on our behalf every time we peep.
