I'd say less than 1% of the podcast ads I've ever heard have been for products I'm interested in. I've never needed a Squarespace or a fancy mattress so that's 90% of podcast ads right there.

Oh yeah I am totally with it, I believe it is a very hurtful movement. I am saying that people recommending that point of view are not doing it to be malicious. I only use that as a example.
May not be malicious but can be harmful.

I would like to know how your plan on setting up a process that is unbiased. I can think of examples... like people that are into holistic medicine or anti-vac.. I disagree with this point.. but they mean no harm by recommending their POV. How does that play out?

Someone with machine learning skills should put them to use and make an automatic ad skipper for podcasts.
Pods need a way to monetise. If the ads are relevant to the pods listeners and the host has used them then I am ok with them.

Most importantly, no delete. (My understanding:) Even if Peepeth.com catastrophically fails, the peeps live forever on the ETH network. That means ETH has to fail for our peeps to be destroyed. It's almost certain your peeps will outlive you & your other online activity.
Don’t forget IPFS in all of this.
Someone needs to store the content.

Anyone knows if it is save to call cashout() on the peepeth contract? I do not find a way in the UI currently to use the tips - would love to do it as promised to @Bitcoinstacks - but after @Bevan warned me of bad effects when calling transferOwnership() I am a bit hessitant ;-)

It doesn’t. The smart contract address and ABI, along with peep JSON and IPFS should give you much if how the backend works. https://peepeth.com/front_end

You’re too fair to everywhere else. Haha. Let’s be honest, some places are better. Lol Australia has always been somewhat scary to me, though I wouldn’t hesitate to go. But 7 out of 10 of the most deadly creatures live there! Haha. You have to stay on the coast to live, lol.
Snakes, spiders, crocs, octopus, jelly fish, sharks. Though the odds are pretty low, safer than some other places.

On edit/delete issue. What about this? Add two variables to contract: Show & Version. 'show' variable indicates sender wants peep to be visible, default is True, sender can change it. Acts as 'delete' for frontends that implement feature. 'version', indicates last edit #peepeth
Peeps tend to be batched, with Peeps stored in IPFS.
Adding state to the smart contract (currently stateless) would increase the cost of peeping.
