After the lush hiking paths, one is welcomed to one of the most unique mountain top boulders, several rock formations chiseled by wind, among which The Sphinx is my favourite.

Wow, SF to Baltimore is a long haul on a bus. How long did you take for that trip? Curious about the Tanzania -> Zambia trip too. Sounds epic!
3.5 days on Greyhound. Nearly 20 years ago.
When I got off the train in Zambia I was pickpocketed. I was fairly dazed from the journey. So was the thief as my wallet was attached to me. He didn’t think quick enough to take the money out.
Buses to Livingstone were interesting.

These are Bucegi Mountains, part of Carpethians, and the best hiking experience one can dream of if you are interested in mountains, flora & fauna.

My longest single trip was San Francisco to Baltimore on Greyhound bus.

Glad you're feeling better, did you go on the train adventure?
My son had a plan. We caught a tram to its terminus. The sun came out so we walked to another line and caught the tram back into town. Train home in time to watch the footy.

Although, most Earthlings do not put a cross above their graves, so it's safe to assume that that symbolism wouldn't reach as many people as possible. For dead perhaps just a human skeleton.
Again that is my cultural bias having lived in nominally cross based religious countries.
Yes a skeleton would be better.
Showing donating my body to science and then burnt after first year med students have worn my head for a hat would be harder.

In "The Long Now" book (I think) they talk about the difficulty of designing signs for the very long term (ie warnings for nuclear waste burial sites). Hard to make any sign culture and language agnostic. Kind of interesting to think about how it would be done for each sign.
A challenge to abstract language and culture out. Skull and cross bones on yellow for poison? A mound with a cross on it for dead. Though those might only be good for 1000 years.

I enjoy these collage series the most, you should definitely keep the screenshots and make an album just for them :)
Summary shots so far are just a screen shot of my photos in iOS. I love the big picture perspective and puts them all into context. The circles one was the best.
