This pathway is directly across the road from a shopping centre, 2 supermarkets, a busy gym and a main roundabout. Not that you'd ever know once you go there. Most locals seem to forget it exists as well. Suits me fine at the moment.
The #30DayPhotoWalkChallenge is a good idea, might give me an extra excuse to leave the house at the moment. Although walking around outside isn't exactly fun, playing Dodge The Human constantly.

I've been spending way too much time on there recently. It seems overrun with fake accounts run by political parties from loads of countries.

Where am I? Nowadays, there is an idea via Roger Penrose. Idea is that we might as well be quantum by some process in microtubules of neurons. Experiments underway. Not sure what that means but it is certainly getting more interesting from Science's perspective.
That does sound interesting. If they could get teleportation to work, I'd be quite happy.

Everyone working for the US government has socialized medicine, essentially. All the senators, representatives, all the military, everyone, has excellent, socialized health care. And yet, most of those same politicians demonize the very care they have. It's a sickening situation
But of course. They protect themselves & take handouts from the pharma companies while the average person is left to die.
It would be so easy to extend that free healthcare to the rest of the population. But no financial incentive for them... 😕

And I say humanity because, although the US election obviously does not represent the world, there was a time when US democracy did represent the world's best hope for self government. Those days are gone. If democracy dies in the US, that will be a bad sign for humanity.
Sadly, I think it's already died in the US although other countries still have some form of democracy.
Ever think it's strange that most countries can have elections with minimal fuss but the US needs a 2-year media circus?

Don't even get me started on that. I grew up in the US. I can't live there again because I would have no health care. I'm better off in almost any other country. Well, once I turn 65 I can move back to the US and be covered by medicare. Until then, forget it.
A routine illness shouldn't mean someone goes bankrupt. Nobody chooses to get ill. The for-profit model needs to be abolished - everywhere.
I'm lucky. I have (mostly) free healthcare and EU-wide cover in case of accident when travelling, etc.

I agree, and for all those reasons, if he wins the next election, then we know the US is really messed up. If 2016 was a fluke, history might forgive it. But if he gets reelected, then it marks a dark, dark era. It would suggest to me that humanity is in for very hard times.
Agreed. I thought he was the lesser of 2 evils in 2016 but maybe he wasn't. No respect for American people, any other country or even international laws.

Well, they're not. They're meant to go bankrupt. Also, hospitals, once those people can't pay, can deduct those unpaid bills from their taxes, so it benefits the hospitals to overcharge the uninsured. That is the US system.
I saw a news report the other day of a sick man getting hooked up to a ventilator and his only thought was "who's going to pay for this?"
It's just sad. Plenty of countries can manage free healthcare, you'd think it would be a priority at a time like this.

5/ Afaik, about 8 or 9 states have no lockdown at the moment and some states have said Easter religious services can go ahead. That is complete lunacy. If that happens, expect to see a large spike in cases in about 2 weeks...
