Another old SF picture with loads of imperfections. Just like the city!

I love this pic. The sky is surreal!

Cold today in Melbourne. Outside the air is filled with bushfire smoke. Wearing @flexdapps

Very scary situation. Fingers crossed that the weather turns more favorable for the firefighters.

European Starlings have been in the U.S. since 1890, when they were brought to New York's Central Park. Since then, they have spread all around the U.S. they are sometimes thought of as a pest, destroying crops #bird #starling #europeanstarling

That’s cool! I wonder who brought them over and why.

Currently reading The Overstory, short fiction stories that involve trees, and there are some transplant stories like that (chestnuts were apparently brought over by European settlers; the trees had all kinds of uses).

Does anybody have suggestions for inexpensive, mail-in, black & white film processing? (35mm).

I’m curious about this too. I have some really old exposed film, wondering if it can still be developed. Are you currently shooting in 35mm?

I've been thinking lately about how mental pain is worse than physical pain. If you could choose to eradicate only one in your life, which would you choose?

I hear you. I’d be tempted to make the same choice. But I’m curious to what extent mental pain is useful, and what life would look like without it.

By mental pain, I am including all forms of mental discomfort, from the menial to the severe: anxiety, boredom, anger, frustration, sadness, depression, dysphoria, etc.

Interesting. I read that an over-the-counter pain killer (Tylenol?) can reduce some forms of mental pain. The point being that there’s a shared underlying pain mechanism for both forms of pain (or at least some overlap).

Finishing up "Master and Margarita," before the New Year so that I complete 20 of 20 books read for this year. What are you trying to finish before 2019 ends?

I’m trying to launch a goal setting app (speaking of competitive industries) by January 1. But thinking about waiting for the Monday or Tuesday following, for greater exposure.

That’s great that you’re on track with with your goal!

I like that one too. Perhaps I should have heeded the advice of not entering a competitive industry :)

Peepeth's new feature: "you've exchausted your daily limit". It may be surprising from me, but I really liked this; not only the posting, but the whole Facebook needs that.

This has been a feature for at least a year.

@bevan, Peepeth could tell before the next peep which will reach a limit. This way a user can think twice what to put in this peep. Also, it could disable text fields when it already happened. It could also tell user at midnight the limit restarts.

Good suggestions—thank you!

[cont.] I tried numerous times for a steady schedule, but I couldn't get myself to do it at all. I don't know, maybe I'll try again in the new decade. Or maybe, the streams might never come back. Too much crap from my past to bear. So, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

What inspired you to start in the first place? Maybe it’s for the best if your heart isn’t in it anymore.

Merry Christmas to you too :)
