Started some light meditation exercise and it's like I can find my footing but also find out I don't know how to stop all at once. If you have advice for a beginner (for example what was the best advice you got when you started out) I have lots to learn :)
A helpful cue for me is to fully "accept" whatever I'm feeling (which, when meditating, is usually a feeling of resistance, or "why the hell am I doing this again?"). Doing that (at any time actually) helps bring up my state a bit.
There's a book called Letting Go by Hawkins that explores the technique further (it's a bit "out there" but useful).

Update: the espalier Falstaff apple tree at our #allotment is bearing heavy-ass fruit this season. It's only one year old--doing us proud! No netting or sprays, and birds have pecked only a handful of apples, a fair return to Mother Nature. Espaliers rock. #gardening

I ended up taking most of the day off today. Complete burnout from having a stressful week. I'll probably make some of it up this weekend.
