It took me a moment. It’s not over yet for Fiat. Crypto payment isn’t as easy as Apple Pay (yet).
Agree. We need to do better.

Dream: Totally automated, empathetic, user-friendly, decentralised alternatives for all of our life's most important financial services. Whether day to day spending (integrated hot wallet/budget app), medium term financial mgmt (auto-investing, portoflio mgr), long-term investing
We finally have the OPPORTUNITY to do so, with crypto.
And because it's open source, we can challenge ourselves to make not just the most efficient but the most moral tools as well.
No analytics. Subtle pressures to make sound financial decisions and buy fairtrade/eco-friendly

It is, thanks @Bevan! Working on a function that efficiently finds & lists blockchain tx details by their address. It's part of a long-term project, extending @TxBatchCrypto to help a CS agent get the data they need to answer crypto trader's questions even w/ limited inputs.

three beautiful bags of coffee, roasted 4 days ago, waiting for me on my doorstep. can't wait to taste it. bought with bitcoin from chromaticcoffee.com , last time i'll plug them, i've no relationship with them other than being an enthusiastic, adoring customer.
Waaaaaant.
Coffee, trippy art, purchasable with Bitcoin? Sign me up
Damn I can't wait for Burning Man. Can't do it this year but will definitely be next year. 2020, a nice even number to start it off.
Would appreciate a share on my LinkedIn post for anyone who has it. Compiled a list of user-friendly fiat-Bitcoin merchants: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6531297122103492608
The problem is, idealistic as that sounds, it's not possible. The cat's out of the bag. Yes cryptocurrencies have opened the door to money laundering, drugs, probably also child grooming and human trafficking down the line - but we can't stop them, only embrace them.

Welkom!
Living in accordance with nature. Which (for me) is:
- get out in the sun
- value relationships
- do stuff that hurts/makes you uncomfortable/makes you feel stupid
- eat good food
- be curious
- obey your biological cues
- enjoy the small stuff
- breathe

Interesting! How was it? Do you know what varietal it is? How much did it cost?
I did manage to find an attached website, which isn't altogether surprising: http://cantinesimonetti.it/

Yep, meanwhile in Sicily the fashion is say you don't drink wine, you only use it when you cook - like a cool person, you drink beer (which is incidentally a lot more expensive in Sicily vs. wine)
Legit every Scandinavian I've met wants to visit or live in Italy, Spain, Greece, etc, then when I get down here to Sicily they're all big fans of Scandinavian beer and Swedish detective shows

Hehe. Yeah, looks like that. In the US wine is a luxury good, and it's rare to see it sold like the commodity that it largely is; lots of branding effort goes into convincing peeps that a wine is anything but "red".

I am betting it was passable, variety was red and cost 3 euro.

I know, sad. Fortunately I had another 2L wine bottle (glass) I was able to put it into. In other depressing news, here's the horrid sight I saw at a Sicilian supermarket today: WTF!?! Bananas have their own natural skin. Packaging with plastic/styrofoam is pure laziness 🤯☠
My plastic consumption at the end of my stay in Sicily is going to be very depressing. Over 2 shelves of plastic bottles used already, and that's only ~half of my consumption. Plastic bags, plastic cups, plastic wrap, styrofoam - it really pisses me off.

Is that wine bottle... plastic?

I'm not sure why this quote has stuck out so much to me over time. I think it's because I've seen how easy it is to live a limited life - to ignore reality, to live in a bubble
Shit yeah! Just got my grandma AND my dad to buy bitcoin. My grandma may buy a larger part later (currently only $100 worth).
I'm also currently trying to get a bank wire going to get my money out of a stock trading account I set up 4 years ago and pop it into BTC too

Wine of the... week? Day? I don’t even know what my stats are at anymore. My first Sicilian wine bought from a roadside vendor. Wish me luck
