Why did it take me this long to learn about microservices?!?!?!?!
Crazy good idea!

Off the top of my head there was also: White Sands and Broadband Drug Dealing for Fun and Profit
As an aside, the second title could be an excellent story of how to succeed as an early cryptocurrency investor.

Misleading though it is, it's indeed a great title. I heard he wanted to call it "2-hour work week", but the publisher didn't think that sounded realistic enough π

Tim Ferriss is an incredible resource and mentor. I highly suggest tuning into his podcast if you haven't. π I can recommend an episode if you let me know your general lifestyle / interests.
Mate, I've been following Tim for years :D
4HWW was the very first book I read seriously. Ever since then I've been into entrepreneurship, business, self development, fitness, productivity, etc...
Have been listening to TFS religiously for a solid 3 years as well. My Fav: #128

Full disclaimer, I've never read the ETH whitepaper nor know a whole lot about the ETH blockchain except how to run a node and peep on @peepethApp. But this is cool. ETH's been getting a lot of criticism recently but I don't buy it, dApps are far too legit innovative/affordable
Thanks for sharing @piros_grant!

If anyone wants to visit Georgia π¬πͺ, I *highly* recommend it.

First I'm hearing about this subreddit. Do you find value from it? It's increasingly difficult to find a good online community these days.
Not a subreddit but a user, I don't go on reddit much but this guy's videos do seem good...
Best l I have for online communities are a rather small selection of close friends on Signal/WhatsApp, Peepeth, some Discords (mostly focused on business/self dev) and Keybase.io teams

Thank you for that! It's been about 5 years in the making. Would love to hear people's thoughts on the links under "Ethics" in the menu. I've put a lot of time into creating frameworks for community, personal manifesto, and business relations.

That's some 1st grade motivation. I wish you best of luck, because you're already armed with fierce determination π Btw, I wholeheartedly recommend Belgrade as your non-Schengen destination. I'm sure you'll love it. And, a far lesser chance of food-poisoning π
Good idea - luckily, I just got an application in for a visa yesterday, which means I can legally stay here until it processes :D

Thanks for sharing this; 4hww is an inspiring read (I'm not sure if the philosophy suggested by the title is a productive one to live by, but I see why he chose it). Awesome to see how Tim has parlayed that into other successes. Will be revisiting 4 Hour Chef this year.
Yep, it's one of the curses of the book's success: everyone sees him as the guy who only wants to work 4 hours a week.
Unfortunately that title was the most-clicked item on adwords. Your monkey brain responds to "4 hours per week!" but it's a freaking good book so worth it.

(A) Loan money to meet requirements for a 1 yr Danish(/European) visa

"Private blockchains are a dumb solution looking for no problem" - A quote from Paul Chow from LedgerX. Do you agree? Or do you think that private blockchains will also be considered totally "normal" tech in a few years?
I need to first understand how a private blockchain works.
Is it like an invite-only blockchain?
You need permission to become a miner/transact funds?
In which case, where does that permission come from?
I can see potential for private contacts that interact with public ones.
Just found out about @SejdaPDF - best example of a SaaS product I've seen in years, maybe ever.
Clean, SEO optimised pages, fast, generous free usage, reasonably priced plans... even the part where it popped up to tell me that I get 3 operations per hour was cool.
Well done.

A meme generator would be more useful if it's for Peepeth unless you're talking about something independent.
Do you mean, Peepeth should have a meme generator? A meme feed should be integrated with Peepeth? Not sure I understand what you mean with "useful" and "independent"

3/ Alternatively I love Denmark - the people, culture, my friends here - and I'm sure with accurate thinking and prioritisation, I'll be able to figure out a way to stay here.
Might have to do an island hop to a non Schengen country after January though.

Peepeth has a profanity filter. Though not quite a stupid filter. I can still peep hungover.
Solution, require the Ethereum transaction signature be done manually via keyboard. If you get any character wrong or the checksum doesn't check out, then you can't peep.

Best thing I learned this last 2 months: when you schedule an appointment, use language that appeals to you.
Do you like...
*building things/solving puzzles?
*other people - and you like in the present?
*clear, actionable mini-tasks?
Or perhaps you respond better to threats?
Write a letter to your future self - receive it in one year: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/this-next-year

Don't get overwhelmed, make sure to take it easy.
Also, isn't it weird how we only practise taking stock 1x / year?
