I'm not really sure where the best place is to discuss it. You could try asking in their forum: https://discuss.ipfs.io/

Thanks for sharing I hadn't seen that before. Probably just didn't look close enough at their site.

Just around the corner? No. I would say we're looking at a couple of years down the line ATM. Need to first solve issues such as identity management for mass adoption. That said, we're way ahead than we were 12 months ago.

I would also add to that list, storage. Things are progressing nicely but still a long way to go.

There have been a few outages in the past. It seems to lag almost constantly now.

I trying to learn as much as I can about IPFS and it's operation. Is there a place where that's discussed?

Jun 26, 2018 12:08

IPFS Errors tonight. Interesting. Saw them on mobile and desktop.

Have you looked at the underlying IPFS? It’s a pretty cool technology that a lot of projects are utilizing. Filecoin is just one way to monetize/incentivize IPFS nodes.

I’ve started looking at it in my spare time. Had a lot of issues with the GUI. But the go code seems to work well.

You can export your private key from MetaMask and import it into Trust. This means that your private key will be displayed in plain text on your computer for a short while, though - so you should never use this particular wallet for holding funds imho.

I'm not familiar with Trust but you might look into restoring the seed phrase from your MetaMask account onto Trust. I started out using peepeth on Toshi and now am using it in the browser on my Mac as well. Just a thought.

Hey J, yes, if you refresh the screen and then click "invites" it should appear. Working on fixing that.

Thank you. It worked this morning. Really enjoy the service and it's amazing.

Any idea, where do I get my referral link for invites? The settings drop down asks me to sign in and then does nothing

Been trying to focus more on gratitude and positive thinking and weeks back someone on peepeth posted about "The Five Minute Journal," so I've been trying it and loving it. I wish I could remember who posted theirs, but thank you to whoever did!

I just got mine but haven’t started it yet. 😊

Apr 16, 2018 01:42

Got a Rinkeby full node set up today. 😊. So much to learn.
