Just like the very new database, every new blockchain is 100000000x faster than every other one, beats CAP the standard model of particle physics, and speed of light. Until it's used in the real world.
Now I understand how a legislator could actually believe rent control is a good thing. I never had a free cafeteria and I liked it but signing it into law makes me wonder if they'll go after lunchboxes before dealing with reality https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17619658
Dear @autodesk, my name is not Sean but thanks for mentioning "Protecting your privacy is important to Autodesk" because GDPR..

2fa is great. To have wide adoption it needs support across the board. Safari doesn't support it, iPhone doesn't have usb-c and apps don't quite work with it either.
So much effort went into this that they accidentally forgot to remove the freaking touch bar from hell. Hurry up! - you can still get the no touch bar 13" https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2018/07/apple-updates-macbook-pro-with-faster-performance-and-new-features-for-pros

I think they need to adjust their monitoring. There's better stuff than pingdom for APIs. It depends on what the sensor calls in IPFS to check health, how often it calls it and how it interprets a failure - timeout, number of timed out calls.

Starting at A, heading East, towards the Black Sea :) Yeah @clehene, from Timisoara, to be more precise.
Have fun! Will watch your feed

Awesome! Are you starting at A or 1? How long will this take? Looking forward to updates!
That's an interesting choice for a ride. The second part will be rather hot :) I'd start with A (Nadlac border) and end on the seaside (party 24/7).

Bits from the cryptoverse - the good ol "fair pump and dump" =)). While we know these should go away, there's a chance observe a live experiment of greed behavior in absence of regulation. In the "centralized" world it's called a "casino" =))

How do we get the world to move away from single use plastic containers e.g. for strawberries? Now that’s a challenge.
Doesn't this work?

A good read and reflects my opinions o blockchain from a distributed systems perspective and the fact that the technical aspect is a distributed systems one. That said, I think there's more than just blockchain and the technical aspects https://goo.gl/DrD4gy

Think of the IPFS is just a temporary holding area, eventually everything (in batches of 15) gets written to the blockchain -- hence the need for gas.
Based on the documentation, data is stored in IPFS and only a hash is stored on the blockchain - https://peepeth.com/how. Blockchain is not a good data storage - it's inefficient and expensive and doesn't scale yet.
Is batching not an option anymore? I seem to get a transaction prompt on every peep and it doesn't get posted unless I pay for each one.
I wish I had a similar "post to Peepeth" option when I post on Twitter

This is a good example of why distributed is not necessarily decentralized (and why the ancient centralized - distributed picture floating around is useless): https://torrentfreak.com/russia-blocks-100s-of-google-domains-to-shutdown-encrypted-chat-app-180412/

There have been all kinds of "honest" scams popping up lately. Quite a few of them have "accidentally" lost user funds to "hacks" - I advise people against participating... Is regular crypto market volatility not enough, you thrill seekers? ;-)
Broken perspective aside, I have to admit they have good graphics :P
Is there a way to invite friends other than through the home page request?

"Darwin tax" seems rather unsympathetic... but I did lol for a second. Looking for the silver lining - people are inevitably going to wise up and invest responsibly.
I'm sympathetic for split second and then I read again and think about all the cheering on some of the subreddits and then I think again and can't stop thinking about "taxes" - here's another one http://fortune.com/2018/03/25/steven-seagal-bitcoiin2gen/?iid=sr-link1
