Is is possible to have a #peepeth account controlled by a smart contact/ DAO? (I understand that a key for signing is required but a contract could have the right to delegate/change that key)
A peep is stored in IPFS with the hash as a transaction input. Front End has the contract address and ABI which is enough to peep directly. https://peepeth.com/front_end
The signing is only for batching through this front end.

Weird how that url didn't link right. #bug? Let's try again: https://austingriffith.com/portfolio/mydude
Links to kid photos on a centralised service are probably the best way to peep them. Can always remove/change later.
Plus how good are IKEA high chairs.

I actually really like the default image peepeth gave me. Does everyone get a turtle?
I thought of the default avatar as a bird or a fish. Of course it is the Peepeth beak which is the Ethereum logo.
Very nice @bevan

What happens if someone posts something illegal or sensitive on peepeth? There's no way to remove it, right? What does this mean from a legal and moral standpoint? #blockchain #toughquestions #peepeth
Peepeth is public. Peeps are in IPFS with hashes onchain.
Front ends can hide/filter/censor. On peepeth.com you can flag a peep.

Why do you care about Twitter verification?
I found Peepeth from @jrmoreau twitter verification of the beta. So it does help get the word out.

List of peeps on peepeth.com UI might be more pleasant to browse, if reply would not show the original peep by default. I find it a bit tedious to see the same peep many times over. #peepeth
It would be great if you could put your suggestion in the feedback (bottom right on mobile).
I too am not a fan of replies as repeeps.

I wish I could make a poll before I build my dApp to ask the community if they would be cool paying $.50 to create a poll if it meant they may make it back in the form of tips, and if users would be cool paying $.02 to vote if it means no need for tokens or other hoops.. 🤔
I think poll cost is less important compared with vote cost.

I am warming to the idea of an ensō leaderboard stat, if only as a way to distinguish "quality vs quantity" relative to the #peepleader counts. ;) I think for ensō received, it would be cool to track specific peeps rather than totals by user. And for tips, track user totals.
If a peeper in the last month/week is in the Ensō received leaderboard and the tips received # or value then that signals quality. If they are also in peep leader then that suggests quantity plus quality. If they are just in peep leader then just quantity.

That would awesome! Or maybe the trending hashtags?
Hashtag leaderboard in last 24 hours would essentially be trending.

Hmm. I'm not sure of the benefit of a #peepleaders list, after all, it's inevitably going to be skewed towards early adopters. Perhaps separate lists for leaders today, this week, this month etc. would be a more meaningful system.
Whilst an all time list is skewed to early adopters, right now it is fairly easy to make the list.

thanks for the new features. perhaps it would be nifty to see the most frequently used hashtags as well? unsure if peeps are interested in that or not.
I’d like a hashtag leaderboard.
Plus I want to be able to see the leaderboards over different time periods. E.g. of all time, last 7 days, last 24 hours.

There's also a leader board to showcase our #peepleaders and Peepeth points leaders. Would appreciate your feedback on those features, or on anything else. Thanks for all your help and suggestions! https://peepeth.com/leaders
Nice to see a leaderboard.
I’d also like to see #tips given and #tips received, as well as Ensō given and received.

Depends what data and error correction level you want. Also depends where you are going to put it and how much it will get distorted over the years. 1 pixel blocks with low error correction can be pretty small.

Tinder for tokens. Would be nice to see use of tokens too rather than just transfer, though this would be specific to each token what use entails.

Social media that pays you for revealing your own information might be the ticket. Or deep learning ai's paying users native crypto to talk to you and gather scads of raw data on humans. How can we be useful to robots when jobs start disappearing? Necessity will bring users.
Until Super intelligent AI decides it doesn’t need us and keeps a few of us as pets, whilst it runs some simulations that we may currently be in.

Smart contract struct for polls and questions (actual text in IPFS). Users sign offchain votes, which are written to IPFS (via queue). Append to existing votes and publish IPNS. Front end uses IPNS and parses votes. Write end results to smart contract. Have to trust vote saving.
Want to minimise poll cost to creation and saving end results but then have to trust votes aren’t thrown away.
Could even start without any onchain.

Drawing out my idea for an embeddable web3 polling dApp... web3 full stack is hard... not sure how you do it @Bevan. ;) The smart contract is the easy part.. making all the moving parts work together: not so much... Not sure why I thought this would be an easy project. 🤔 #buidl
