Hello cryptospace
Hey Adrian! Welcome.
How would you go about blocking ads on Facebook? Interesting problem.

Motiv8 would be my top fav. Some other random ideas: BitByBit, Push2Shove, Hey! and HowAboutNow.
Thanks. I like the direction of HowAboutNow. Will search around for related domain names (often the hard part).
Pieter Levels, a prominent web app maker, got some traction with a sort-of-similar site called gofuckingdoit.com or something along those lines. I like the idea of using the name as a marketing tool, something to cut through the noise.

Would this app be more general, or more geared as an industry-specific tool?
More for individual productivity. Basically a personal productivity / goal-setting / journaling suite integrated with a browser extension that reminds you to do stuff.
Although corporate use case is interesting.
Thanksgiving dinner- the meal that keeps on giving.
Hope your weekend is going well.
Imagine an app that helps you achieve your single most important goal of the year.
It gives you reminders in your browser's new-tab window, lets you set sub-goals, track habits, do Pomodoro work sessions, and more.
What would you call said app?

It was unexpected. We had high winds a few hours ago. The power actually went out about 6-7 times before it finally stayed off.
Hope it comes back on soon. Have luckily avoided power outages here so far (although I was out of town for one).
Looks like there are some storms expected later this week.

Suddenly, I found family is everything, it's much important than anything else. When I informed in the morning that my dad got something wrong in health, I felt really shocked at first, then sad, and shame. As only child, specifically, he lives alone, I failed him.
I’m very sorry to hear that. I hope your dad recovers soon.
Your story reminded me of this quote:
“A healthy person has a thousand wishes, a stick person only one.”
Thanks for the reminder. #priorities

I've read that sprinting exercises can help with marathons, but I can't speak from experience. Not much time left to train. I'd say 2 to 3 times a week quickly increasing the intensity and closely monitoring progress. Decrease intensity the final week before the event.
I used sprints for long distance road bike racing. Didn’t have a control but it at least seemed to reduce the total number of training hours.

I run 1-2 times a week. I’ve been experimenting with HIIT and my times are getting better. Next I’m adding in some hyperventilating since I just read it can increase sprinting performance. 15k is a pretty long one. What are you doing to prepare?
Interesting, hasn’t heard about hyperventilating, will look into that. Reminds me of holotropic breathing.
My plan is still being formulated. Maybe something like run twice per week, one longish run and one sprint session. Thoughts? Did 3 mi yesterday.
This is a for fun event so I’m mostly interested in doing it comfortably / not injuring myself.

Yesterday I set a new fast time for the season on my 1-mile run, so I'm taking it easy today. I might still do some yoga though.
Nice. How many days per week do you run?
I recently committed to a 15k in January, which will be my first "long" run in many years. It's nice to have a goal to shoot for.
