Real gold! "The first 90% of the code accounts for the first 90% of the development time. The remaining 10% of the code accounts for the other 90% of the development time." - Tom Cargill
Haha, so true. This reminds me of Hofstadter's Law: "It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law."
I've been on that last 90% of the personality feature / app for awhile now.

@bevan Hi, was wondering if you can help me to get my profile verified, i submitted a request and pay a few days ago, and still no updates :(
Hey Vlad! Sorry about that. I've refunded you. There appears to be an issue with verifications and I'll be disabling that feature until fixed. Apologies for the inconvenience!

"Love means acceptance of oneself and of others in their totality of their being. Love embraces all; it does not mean that we accept only partial aspects of ourselves, of others, of the world, but that we accept the whole and find it good." - Walter Weisskopf
Awesome quote.
If only we could download it to our OS. Like many others, it seems like it would be hard to keep it top-of-mind so that it could guide our actions.
What's the solution? More exposure to these fleeting portals to our better selves? An earnest devotion to a spiritual path?
Grateful for the reminder!

You have 7 years to live. How do you use them?
I love these reminders.
However, it's quite hard to keep "memento mori" (or any other idea for that matter) top of mind, and emotionally salient, as we go about our day.
How to instill that thought at a deep level so that it can meaningfully direct our actions? Or is 1x/week enough?

Not over 33, but I can definitely relate. It takes me a moment to dive into new music...then by the time I do, it isnโt totally new anymore lol. I like the old stuff, man.
I hear you. My music discovery stages are also less frequent than they used to be.
The general case is disconcerting. He makes the claim that our "neophilia" peaks at a certain age, after which we basically stop branching out.

A soft and slow voice is the only way to help someone. Above all else, LOVE. โ
Re: Love: True, yet unfortunately hard to stay in touch with this fact on a moment-to-moment basis! Thanks for the reminder.
ps. The "soft and slow voice" bit reminds me a bit of the surprising and hugely popular ASMR trend on YouTube, have you seen that? :)

You know you have more neurological matter in your stomach than a cat does in it's skull? Not really relevant, but I like to tell people facts. It's why I'm so popular.
#lkie That's awesome! I did not know that.
But I have heard that our gut produces some important neurochemicals, and that if we cultivate the environment down there we can improve measures of health and wellbeing:

Unsure what content I'll be able to Mcgiver up with 280 character limit, was hoping for a microblogging platform akin to Tumblr.. found Steemblr.com but it dies on steemconnect logon. I'm still excited to find an outlet built on-chain.. hi! ... is there no chat?
Welcome Birdillious! There's no specific chat feature, but the whole feed is basically a chat room :)
Spotify apparently revealed that people stop listening to new songs after age 33, as reported in this Google talk by Derek Thompson: https://youtu.be/l9KW3GtWm30
Is that true in your experience, over 33'ers?
Chipping away at Insights feature / app today. The heavy lifting has been done, now it's the fun part.
ps. Crowdfunding supporters will be getting credits.

My work breakthroughs are always after the days where I get to the point of wanting to give up. My best workout results are always after the days I feel weak & frustrated with myself. I usually have my best travel experiences after getting annoyed with a place/people. I wish I was more patient. Social media doesn't help. Then again I'm glad I lacked the patience to go to university or stay at my old job.
I hear you. Why do you think that is? (re: breakthroughs the day after a bad day)
After a slog of a day yesterday (productivity-wise), I feel like I have my mojo back.

What's up Peepeth people? Hit me with one word to describe your life this week. Mine is 'agitated.' Not the most positive thing but just being honest. Looking forward to the weekend!
Deliberate.
Slow, detail-oriented work this week. Making incremental progress on Insights- working on the nuts and bolts, pricing, and making the reports more clear and useful (the fun part).
Hope things turn around for you next week!

Want to get better at a sport? Work with a coach Want help getting physically fit? Work with a trainer Want help getting physically better when sick? Go to the doctor But wanting to get mentally fit and/or better and seeing a therapist has a stigma to it?! Fuck that.#endthestigma
A little-known effect of therapy:
"The analysis has found that just a few weeks of therapy is associated with significant and long-lasting changes in clientsโ personalities, especially reductions in the trait of Neuroticism and increases in Extraversion."
