Saw some beautiful flowers. Very glad I made it out.
Saw a family of foxes. Decided to turn back rather than intrude.
Had a nice steep walk through the clouds today.
Pull-ups and a walk today.
Insight app is coming along.

Next pear tree update tomorrow 🍐

Revising the Insight front page. Got a lot of actionable feedback (read: it sucks). But optimistic for the next iteration.

Stepped outside of my comfort zone one day and somehow wandered into the Decentralized Web, I'm really enjoying this journey. I like the look and vibe of Peepeth and have high hopes.
Welcome :)

I just tipped peepeth.com using the Brave Browser and it seems to integrate pretty smoothly.
Appreciate your support!

I did it for you. I did not want to leave you alone today. :-D
:)
It was so nice to spend a day away from the computer.
Vibrant colors today. Hope you're doing well!

If Peepeth's metadata is stored on ipfs, I assume that someone is hosting it in a charitable fashion? How could things like filecoin or swarm decentralize the model even further?
Yes, it's being hosted by Infura. There's a pinning consortium but the code may have to be updated.

Back from fusion (which has been a blast) - answering some google play reviews ;-) But great to see these people are only a very small minority - the majority of reviews/comments have been lovely heart warming and encourage me to continue.
Glad you had a good time.
It's funny how the tendency is to focus on the few negative reviews. Keep up the good work!

That is pretty cool.

I hope so!

Like what happens if something that is super grotesque appears on here, and nobody likes it. How will it be filtered?
Good question. The blockchain back-end can't be moderated, but the front-end can be, just like any other site. The difference being that there's an immutable public record not controlled by peepeth.com.

Thank you Daniell.

Any specific goals for this keto regimen?
It has to do with my above-average consumption of honey + almonds recently :) I also have some minor symptoms that may improve from it. The weight loss probably won't hurt my pull-ups either.
Just did some in-person user testing of the nascent Insight "feature" / app. It was a humbling experience. Should have done this sooner. Excited to iterate and launch.
Day 3 of keto / very low carb. Burpees feel surprisingly easier today.
The unthinkable has happened.

It will have downloadable zip with profile info and posts? Posts will be pineable (JSON)?
Something like that yes.
A Peepeth service worker went down last night; back in business now. If your peeps are only Tweeted now, that's why.
Working on the front page FAQ on the Insight app.

+1 I #lkied it too.
What image symbolizes uniqueness? Looking for a subtle background image for the Insight app; possibly a flower or something abstract.

Sounds like you got your trip to the mountains 👍
Kind of! This is in the Oakland hills. It looks a lot higher because of the low clouds and clear sky, but this was taken at only 1000 feet or so.

The fireworks kind of sucked from that distance but the sunset and nature views were awesome.
Was nice to hike a new trail. We also hiked down in the dark which was cool.

We had planned to drive to a viewing point but the police had closed the road (too many peeps already). So we parked at small turnout and hiked a fire trail to the top.

We didn't see much. However, a few big ones rose above the clouds over San Francisco which was awesome. It was a great time though.

Were you really this far away from them in the end? I remember watching them on New Year's Eve from a higher place, less than 2 miles away. Man, it was such a disappointment. It was like watching someone lighting a match 30' away 😅 Worse than this... http://howdyjapan.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/IMG_0097-2-1024x768.jpg

Staking out a good fireworks viewing location. Happy fourth!
