What do you think about Keybase? I appreciate you spreading these privacy facts and then suggesting alternatives. And @bevan... who would ever have those "read" or "typing" or "last seen" messages on?! (Do people not check the settings, or do they sincerely like the feature?)
Good question. I sometimes find those types of indicators useful, to indicate that I've read a message or whatever. It depends on the platform though.

Did you know that #Facebook is able to know the time you wake up and the time you are in the office simply by monitoring your #Whatsapp usage? Avoiding it is simple. There are excellent alternatives. Download signal.org today and recommend it to your friends. #privacyMatters
For awhile, anybody could get that information from your whatsapp if you had "last seen" enabled, even if they'd never chatted with you before. It may still be possible.

In a interview of Vitalik Buterin, I heard him talk about an Decentralised version of Twitter. Just Googled and found Peepeth. It really feels awesome to be part of a new decentralized system. Its been in the recent days that I am learning the technical aspects of blockchain.

We got a good social network here on Peepeth. I love how people listen to each other, hedge what they say, and react like real people. The realest social network there is, as I see it. The question is, how do we keep it real and full of real people?

I do agree re. momentum, but I think we do have natural tendencies. Better than trying to change your brain is to embrace it and find other people who can balance you out.
We certainly do. But most of us are not at the extremes for most tendencies, and there is a good range that we can inhabit.
I think this too is a balance: finding the mix between self-improvement and self-acceptance.

@Bevan it seems that the leaderboard stats don't show users who have not peeped yet today. I think it should show them, because only after they miss the day, is their streak lost? Maybe I'm missing something though! 🤔
Nice find! You're right, it isn't showing streakers who haven't peeped in 24 hours (should actually show users who peeped yesterday, even if that's more than 24h). Fixed on my end; will deploy changes tomorrow morning.
