It's not. It will get worse before it gets better. Family stuff. Losing someone. It will be better eventually but it's complicated for right now.
Very sorry to hear that. I hope you and your family find peace soon.
It's heating up in the Bay Area. Staying cool with a big glass of ice cubes.

I was researching this today. Apparently some studies which show interesting benefits (higher BDNF, better memory, anti-depressant effect, anti-inflammatory action etc) use a dose of at least 1g of curcumin, which is hard to get just from eating turmeric (I think turmeric is only 3% curcumin by weight).
If that figure is right, then to get 1g of curcumin, one would need to have about 2 tablespoons of turmeric. Doable but it's a commitment :)

Appreciate the insight. I currently take it in supplement form, though it's a cheap ingredient, thus great to find a way to consume more economically.

Are you details or big-picture oriented? I find I can get bogged down in details easily and lose track of the big picture. I'm working on balancing this because being able to see the big-picture constantly is useful for orchestrating and persuading other people.
Me too.
It's common to pin oneself to a single side of any number of dichotomies. Sometimes it's warranted. But a lot of time, I think there's a process we can undertake to cross to the other side. For example, to become more extraverted, hard-working, big-picture focused or detail-oriented, adventurous or conservative. A lot of it is momentum.

Protip: a litre of full fat milk filled with oats is a very cheap and filling protein shake to bring to the gym. Related caveat: a litre of full fat milk filled with oats will destroy any further appetite you have for meals in the next 6 hours. *This is not good if you are living with tremendous cooks (read: italians) and cannot eat their food.*
If you're going for gains, that sounds like a good way to get them! #GAINS

The #1 tip for making solid friends and/or getting GRAND favours while travelling (i.e. free accom, food, cross-country roadtrips): bring gifts The #1 tip for not feeling lonely or homesick: periodically, even mechanically, tell your loved ones what you like and appreciate about them With both the key is giving something you yourself would like to hear or something you genuinely think they would like.
#lkie Voice messages can really help for staying in touch (to your last point).

I use LinkedIn only as a professional contact list. No interaction on the feed (I find the posts there so boring and sterile).
That's good to know. I was thinking about integrating the Insight feature with LinkedIn, but it seems like yours is a common sentiment. Also, their API is pretty hard to get access to. So not going to bother for now.

Getting around Europe is easy once on the continent, so definitely try to plan visiting multiple places!
I will! There are so many places I'd like to go in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Scandinavia, the Middle East, North Africa, West Africa... even Asia if I can get the visas! Looking forward to the #peepmobile. Wondering if I can productively live out of the thing.

A prospective addition to Libertological communion.
The day I made this I drank half of it (~1 tbsp turmeric), and my joint pain seemed reduced (I've had minor joint issues in the last few weeks due to sports).
Whether dramatically reduced inflammation is a good thing for recovery or not is another question. I think my baseline inflammation was pretty good. Still, I plan to eat more turmeric.

I'm glad to see I was right to time my only visit to the USA so that it falls during the Obama presidency. I don't have the energy to be tracked, interrogated and questioned for 45mins about why I'm crossing the US borders. Tourism, anyone?

Give peeple the option to hide/reveal their Ethereum's address.
Thanks for suggesting. Part of me thinks it's better to keep them public, so that there is no illusion that hiding it is anything more than a front-end coverup. What do you think about that?

Almost forgot about this, lol.
I think I misunderstood the game. I thought we'd pass it to a different person each time, rather than passing it back and forth between a small set of people.
Unfortunately I'm not in the position to play the increase-the-wager version of this game, for very long at least :)

I don't believe so. Homescreen apps apparently reside in their own cookie sandbox in a way that makes that impossible.
