Today for lunch I am having sous vide shrimp seasoned with lemon juice, black pepper, and sriracha.There's nothing quite like the texture of perfectly cooked shrimp. Delicious.
Looks good! How's the cut going? Dropping a few pounds myself; back on the intermittent fasting train.

No one can force anyone to have right speech. Who’s to determine what is right speech. It’s up to us to make the conscious decision to do right but then again what is right? I believe speech to be a vent. Not all the right chemicals flow out but if closed a vent can explode.

I love the intention and theme set throughout Peepeth, though I can’t help but think “what are we actually doing here?” Same with twitter and Facebook. Further - why do I spend time here? What’s the benefit to that on a deep and meaningful level?Perhaps I’m one not cut out for SM
I’m still figuring out social media too. I’ve never been one for SM until recently.
A social network that seeks to encourage mindful discourse borders on the absurd. But I think it can work and is a meaningful undertaking to me.

By sentence:
1) The goal is a substantial directional improvement towards that ideal.
2) At the extremes it’s clear. How can we get more of the good and less of the bad?
3) What reduces suffering is right.
Re speech as vent: venting on an immutable platform may be unwise :)

Hey @Bevan. I'm trying to tip @abcoathup for his vlog and it's saying "You cannot tip this user because they have not yet set up an Ethereum wallet." Likely something to do with the email registration?

@Bevan so we don't need to sign peeps explicitly anymore? How does that work in conjunction with the #web2 logins? I notice the "sign now" is gone for me and all messages including web2 peeps show as 🔒. #peepeth
Ah, that means you’re signed in as a web2 user and Peepeth is signing automatically using your managed key. I should make it clear how one is signed in, as it’s not always clear.

Educating users about blockchain and getting them to manage their own keys is a direct goal, just not the ultimate goal of this front-end.
Blockchain is a useful tool, but not the end in itself. My goal for Peepeth is to inspire right speech online and positive action in the world.

Sorry, i don‘t get it. What i understand: Peepeth opens up for non-blockchain users without the direct goal to convert them? So, basically, for them, it is just another social network? Why would you think that would attract people? Why don‘t you bridge them to blockchain?

Ok! So, try this--I can reproduce in Chromium: - Start chrome, don't unlock metamask. Or any browser, and don't unlock. - Load peepeth. - Sign in or enter site will act as described. Let me know if more tests needed, but about to retire for the night here! 🌌

For me, psoriasis and stomach pain were the main ones. I thought the flare ups were just flu 🙃 on the mend now

Nice. Love those post-dinner coding sessions. Sometimes the right mix of quiet roads, a well-cooked meal with good brain food/protein, and a relaxed body works wonders.
I used to I used to do almost all of my coding at night until very late, which seemed to help me focus. However it took a toll on other aspects of my life (ie health). Waking early and working first thing (or after gym) has worked out better for me productivity- and health-wise.

The product of me sous viding onions in lager with garlic. I didn't want to waste the sauce after I plated the onions so I took a corn starch slurry and cooked it thick and poured it over the onions. Tastes sweet and the texture is soft. Could use some salt. Overall pretty good.
Thanks for sharing! I have a serious hankering for onions now, vidalias or not.

You're welcome! Good luck. I'm not very proficient with it all, but I suspect in these cases an injected web3 object is being returned (non-nil), but not as expected (unlocked state). 🐛🧐

Suggestion: a way where browsers that return a web3 object (i.e., have integrated wallet/dapps browser) can still choose to login via e-mail. Opera's latest build broke Crypto Wallet integration for me, and the e-mail login doesn't show unless I disable web3 entirely.
That should currently be possible. There should be a small, gray "Sign in with email" link under the big blue Web3 sign-in link. If not - let me know. Will make it more clear as well.

Yes I tried to sign in after, that's when it mentioned it's sending the one time link, but I never received them, tried a few times.
Ah, thanks. Have reset your email access- would you mind re-enabling it and trying to sign in again? Looks like a strange bug occurred- working to make it more robust in the next deploy.

The email was sent erroneously- deploying fix.
After enabling email access, did you then try to sign in using email? Enabling email access won't send a sign-in link; the link is only sent when trying to sign in with email on another browser at peepeth.com/a/login. Will clarify:)

It's a goal, but not the ultimate one. They'll be educated about the benefits of managing their own key, and probably incentivized with a badge or feature.

Peepeth users can now peep on any browser—no dapp browser required! Enable email access in Settings -> Access. https://peepeth.com/a/email_access
Would appreciate anyone kicking the tires on this feature. Soon, users will be able to sign up with just email and I imagine that'll be how most new peepers use Peepeth at first.

Vidalia onions came in this morning. Found a recipe to sous vide them in beer at 185 for two hours. I'm going to add some mushrooms to the bag though for an extra umami.
