Sharding's scalability is still very limited, about several thousand transactions per second, the same level of EOS with DPoS.
Welcome Jason :)

That's a good point. I didn't think about how humidity or an avalanche of direct water would have on the bags. It's supposed to taste bad so I'm curious about what it tastes like. Like how bad and in what way? One of those things I would need to go to Bali to experience.
It would be hilarious to eat a bag of ... and then proceed to eat the bag. I wonder if they can miix in fruits for flavor :)

I totally agree. The immutability gives it a lot of quality. I believe this way people will be more positive and encoraging. The benchmark for value in general will be aimed at higher. Until peepeth and blockchain based social media will reach higher marginal morality.
Welcome Shaleen π I hope you're right.

My son Jacob and I getting ready to pack some meals going to Eswatini. Excited to get an opportunity to help people.
π thank you.
I had to look up Eswatini; I did not know Swaziland had changed its name.
@Tab, thank you for buying a Mosquito badge!
Malaria is an important, neglected, and tractable problem. Supporting the Against Malaria Foundation is an effective way to prevent suffering.

The great result of the breathing is pretty tangible, right? ππ
#lkie I only recently discovered the benefits of deep breathing, even though I've done various forms of meditation and conscious breathing for years. Breaking the habit of shallow breathing is a simple but profound experience that looses the body and mind.

π€π Before purchasing something, always ask yourself βDo you need it?β or βDo you really love it?β Sometimes we tend to lose this control in the fast and convenient shopping websites or malls.
#lkie "Does it bring me joy?" a question to ask when considering which current possessions to keep. -Marie Kondo

they are definitely a bit more sour and floral than regular oranges (at least, in my experience). they remind me of hibiscus tea in that way.
Maybe that's why I like them better. Hibiscus tea is also the bomb, gonna brew up a pitcher tomorrow :)

Hi buidl bali folk. Did you guys see this while you were there? https://twitter.com/JuliaImanX/status/1105869958968422400
That's legit! I did not peep (or taste) any though.
Also it was rainy season; maybe people keep their cassava bags stashed for the summer :)

How can we explore the blockchain data associated with #Peepeth posts? Is there a web-friendly way like an explorer, or APIs? πππ§
It's a little tricky at the moment, but I'd like to make a "locate your peep on the blockchain" feature. Thanks for asking.

What about if replies werenβt on the blockchain?
Interesting idea. It may shift the focus away from discussion and towards link sharing. Although it seems like a strange idea given the emphasis on decentralization, I think it's important to consider changes of this magnitude.

Great that the #ethcc videos are online already @asseth - I just wished to see the topics instead of the presenter names in the overview. I think names are less important than the content and now I have to click on every video to know if I the topic is interesting to me.
Awesome that they're up so fast! It would indeed be nice to see the topics though.

whereabouts did those ones come from?
I don't know where these ones were grown other than "USA" (seen at the Whole Foods). They have cheaper ones at the Berkeley Bowl, which are from farther afield. I haven't tried them yet... it would still cost a lot to match the kilo I had in Bali :)

Congratulations!
The first time I saw one of those I was astounded that it made no noise as it pulled away from the stop light (not realizing it was electric). How do you like it so far?
Working on Web 2.0 on-ramping and delegate keys for Peepeth today. Excited to get those features out. Badges are on deck.

@Bevan how difficult would it be to integrate a non-chronological peepfeed? I.e. getting peeps all the way from right-to-this-second to the creation-of-peepeth
It depends on the goal. Showing a list of related peeps (after you type your own peep text, like StackOverflow) would be pretty straightforward.
