Realizing I responded to the original peep to ask for your opinions. I find the flow of peep threads to be strange/hard to follow :/
Better conversation display is needed, thanks for bringing that up.

Music, the one thing both you and your worst enemy probaby like alot, except for food. I'm Dreyn the guy who likes to share the songs he like, odd genres or different languages, but songs either way. So here's Gers Pardoel - Morgen Ben Ik Rijk https://youtu.be/Lm7jv6Qoy4k
Welcome Dreyn, thanks for sharing. It's cool how little the language matters, in many cases.

I'm finding it really hard to grow followers on Peepeth. The site is clean and pretty looking. Could any of my 9 followers point me in the right direction for gaining followers?
Those who show up regularly, post interesting content, and engage others tend to get followers. Content/user discovery does have to be improved.

Hey @coffee, here's a mobile peeping guide:

We went back to the beach this evening for walking, wading, swimming, body surfing, and boogie boarding while the sun set. It was an awesome end to a productive day. #buidl_bali @frothacker @abcoathup

#buidl_bali day 3 :)
This one is a little more scenic than the last one, covering our epic road trip (temple, eating fruit, learning about plants, huge waterfall, monkey forest, amazing dinner).

My recap of #buidl_bali day 2. See @abcoathup's great day 2 vid for the visuals :)

I’m not a “techy” at all, but I am interested and somehow ended up at #buidl_bali It has been such an amazing time listening to so many different life experiences and perspectives. All of them share a common core... create a positive impact whenever possible, however small. 💙
If there's a theme to this retreat, you've eloquently summed it up.
It's been great to have you here and to hear your unique and grounding perspective. Us "techies" risk getting lost in the weeds without broader viewpoints like yours 😊
We learned about (and got to taste) all kinds of indigenous plants today. More to follow in today's vid.
Tried this mysterious snake-skin fruit today.
Several other exotic fruits were had by the group; will peep out some video footage soon.

Very good. Today I'm having a stronger batch that includes tamarind.
That's good to hear. Did you add sugar or honey? I tried it without any sweetener recently, and found that there's still a decent amount of sweetness from the turmeric root itself.
How was the tamarind version?

Last night I had my first sous vide steak. Nice excuse to use a blow torch to finish my food. :D I was expecting it to be juicier. Maybe a ribeye with more marbling will have the juices. Still like a really expensive restaurant style steak. Also a side of stuffed mushrooms.
Wow, for how long and at what temperature did you cook it? The blow torch part sounds fun :)

#buidl_bali We drew our *lines in the sand* ... and then we discussed them like adults. What is blockchain without a healthy dose of philosophy? If you're doing good work in this space, you're doing humanity a favor. Humanity doesn't always like to pay for things up front.
Here was one backdrop to our conversation:
Day 2 of #buidl_bali comes to a close. Lots of great conversations, and a mini excursion in the afternoon to Balian beach. The pictures don't do it justice; it was really cool and the waves look great for surfing (will be back in a couple days for that).

Part of brekky* this morning.
*I'm learning one Australian word per day here as we have two Aussies among us

🐧🔁 ~2y ago I read about "focus songs" in #ToolsOfTitans by @tferriss. The gist is: choose a single song to listen to on repeat when working. For me, "Elephant" by Tame Impala works incredibly well. I actively avoid listening to it when not working. https://youtu.be/LnKUD_OztRE
#lkie I've listened to this hundreds of times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpsfhTxo5yw

Hey Peepers! What a way to kick off my first peep! on the #buidl_bali retreat. Thanks to @Bevan for building this epic tool. I look forward to the days to come #great
Great to meet you Finn and thanks for joining us 🙏
Looking forward to surfing together soon :)
Our home for the next 9 days. #buidl_bali
#buidl_bali day 1 has ended. We met at the airport, drove to the villa, ate dinner, swam, all the while talking decentralization, food, culture, life, and all manner of other things. Lots of cool stuff ahead. Vids and pics coming soon :)

The sambal had a lot to do with my enjoyment of the meal. I'm going to try to recreate it at home, but I'm pretty sure I won't find the same kind of chillies.
They also had my new favorite drink, Jamu, a turmeric, ginger, and lime concoction (with honey on the side; I didn't use it as I think there's a natural sweetness to the raw turmeric).
The setting for the meal was really nice. It was uncrowded and well outside the tourist area. There was no English menu so there was a lot of Googling before I ordered. The restaurant is called Bale Udang Mang Engking.

It was also one of the spiciest meals I've had. Here's a close-up of my favorite of the three sambals I tried.
I had one of the best (solo) meals of my life yesterday. Here is part of it. Urap gondo (water spinach with fried sambal and coconut) with three kinds of sambal (spicy condiment).

Greetings to all in Bali right now. Hope you all have an amazing time. Would have loved to have joined you but promises made to wife & kids makes that a bit unattainable. Anybody staying in the region afterwards - be sure to drop into Kuala Lumpur for ETHKL meetups :-)
Thanks Dave!
It would have been great to see you in Bali. I don't think I'll be able to make it to KL this time but I'll look into flights.

Oh! What does that taste like? Sweet I guess but any overtones? What's its consistency? Syrupy? Juicy? Pulpy? I know it's liquid of some sort with obviously a sugary taste as it's what sugar is made from but I'm really curious to know.
I haven't tried it yet, but the inside looks like a moist piece of wood. Doesn't look too soft. My host told me to cut the skin off and chew on it, apparently you can't eat the pulp. Will peep out a report soon :)
