Getting a lot of advice about 🇧🇷 from conflicting sources. Most recently: tales of how I, despite not being American, will be considered ripe “gringo” fruit for the scamming. I’m sure the scams will prove more funny than offensive though. As for the biggest danger I see, it’s gotta be robbers/extorters assuming I’m rich b/c I’m into BTC or from NZ. Even that isn’t that bad… more likely to lose laptop than my life.
What area of Brazil are you going to?

Getting back to the fun stuff before it became all about the money.
It's still fun stuff if you're talking to the right people.

Wild, but not unexpected. We need a better system that removes the incentive to fake the stats.

This is the 5th time VISA has locked me out of spending my own money. I have called them up multiple times to ask them to turn off the scam protection. They only offer it for 48 hours… Even crazier is the fact that if someone steals the card it's all bueno! They can drain my entire account with physical purchases. But valid card info for an online purchase? No can do… I can't wait until #crypto becomes standard!
What a drag. Are they aware that you are travelling?

Nice map of BTC ATMs: https://t.co/arTXLZjzlH. What's interesting, most ATMs are in locations, where people are 'banked'. Looks contradictory to "banking the unbanked'. Does your country have one and would you use one? #bitcoin
I had no idea there was a Bitcoin ATM in my town!

So anyone can use Peepeths data on who are it’s users? I’m thinking of for something like a decentralized social verification system
There are many decentralized identity systems in the works. The one I'm most familiar with is BrightID, which is an open system that would allow Peepeth data to be considered.

Who else has masses of random coins from airdrops etc just sitting in their wallets? I need to convert them so I can confirm my twitter ha.
I had about a dozen bunch in an Ethereum wallet I just consolidated. Most were worth less than the gas cost it would take to move them.

Seems that most of the popular browsers nowadays are based on Webkit / Chromium, as you pointed out. What do you think about Dissenter from Gab? https://dissenter.com/
I just noticed that you posted the Dissenter *web browser*, and not their browser extension that has the same name. I haven't tried it yet, but I would definitely consider it as a Chrome replacement.

It's an interesting project, but it doesn't seem to be getting much traction. They need deeper integration with popular sites in order to make it more usable. Being banned from some app stores is also a big blow to adoption.

I generally support Firefox as the alternative because it is the only one that isn't using the Webkit/Chromium engine under the hood.

imo I think the game boy advance and SP , had the best design of its time period. Especially as a handheld 16 bit gaming console. Having mass nostalgia right now.
Now that you bring it up, there were a bunch of wider controller portable consoles.
The Atari Lynx has a very strange button config. Atari seems to have problems with controllers.

It’s like an office phone. It’s a reminder that everything is designed by someone. The quality of the design may vary.
It probably was more than one person involved with the design and approval of this. Together they decided it was a good idea to combine a telephone with a gamepad.

I see why these never became a mainstream design
The Atari Jaguar controller was also huge, but not in a good way. This one was a terrible design. The bottom buttons were not even used for any game I can remember.

The Dreamcast controller wasn't bad at all. The memory card with a screen was innovative for the time, but few game developers utilized it, and they were expensive.
Piracy was also very prevalent on the platform. Burned CDs worked without even requiring a mod chip.

I have an old Xbox controller for my PC. I think that is a tad small also.
