New month, new stats. The #buterinbump in July contributed to Peepeth's largest monthly new users since April and brought Peepeth's total users to over 2000 since Peepeth's start back in March. #peepstats #stats

I assume that those who peep the most (peep streakers) are heavy users of mobile dApp browsers. https://peepeth.com/leaders
I use the desktop about 80% of the time, and my iPad for the rest. I actually don't have a dApp browser on my mobile phone.

IT'S ETHEREUM'S 3RD BIRTHDAY! Lets compare to a 3-year-old child: •Speaks gibberish 💬 •Potty trained but has accidents still 🤷♀️ •Runs but falls a lot 🏃♂️ •People think you're adorable but you're really a pain in the ass 😓 •Sometimes you get puked on unexpectedly 🤮

I am drinking 6 liters of soda water a day. Is this safe?
You can overdo it on about anything. I would suggest you try to switch to plain water.
I like sparkling water, but I try to limit my intake on that as well because the carbonation changes the PH level of the water.

Yeah. I'm conflicted. Reaching out could change lives. @Bevan To further the goal of conscientious self-reflection - people should have access to how many people have muted them in this community (on their private details page). For their personal reflection. Just a thought...

This kind of reminds me of this scene in Die Hard with a Vengeance. There are some things, legal or not, that are just stupid to do.

I know how that feeling would be... i created my first game around 1994 using BASIC programming language it was so much fun and excitement ...access to computers was rarity those days... is your code putup on github?
I completed my first game in 1997 using Borland Turbo Pascal. It was a clone of the game Simon. And upon completion I realized it was quite possibly one of the most boring games I have ever played. 😛
The Shed at Dulwich is a fake restaurant created by Oobah Butler which rose to the #1 position on Trip Advisor for London. This story is amazing to me because they were able to manufacture genuine experiences and identity out of thin air.

Welcome to Peepeth, Zach! I wish it were that simple. However, until alternatives or recycled plastic can come in at the same cost as new plastic, there is going to be a demand. What ideas do you have to create alternatives/recycle, etc? #welcome
The biggest buyer of recycled materials is China. All our recycled materials aren't even being used on our shores. They are loaded on barges and shipped across the ocean to be used.

The real story with recycling is far worse than most people realize. My hometown of San Francisco, California, USA boasts the highest recycling rate in the nation. They don't mention that cost of recycling is so high that these programs can't exist without heavy subsidies.

I just added GitHub verifications, so developers who are not on Twitter can now get verified. If you get both verifications, you can choose which verification badge to show, and it will be shown darker. I'll be adding more verifications later (including URLs); ideas appreciated!

The book "Grain Brain" (I think; I get them mixed up) talks about the new varieties of wheat that have been "bred" in the last 100 years. Apparently, modern wheat contains novel proteins that may also be causing problems.
That's interesting. I hadn't come across that theory when I was reading about it. Another theory I heard is that it could in part be linked to the quick rising process used in bread factories. This is very different than the traditional overnight rising process.

This place is also a must-go when in Vegas. An unlikely place for great Thai food (nondescript building in a nondescript strip mall a mile or so from the Strip). @doodlemania https://lotusofsiamlv.com/

Bread produced 4000 years before agriculture: https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/worlds-oldest-bread
Bread has been consumed for thousands of years, yet we've suddenly had an explosion of gluten sensitivity. I suspect they will eventually find a link to modern processing or pesticides.

Yes if potentially if any other network scales up Ethereum will start loosing its market share
I suspect EOS will surpass Ethereum in the near future. The near instant confirmation and lack of fees may bring a lot of dApps over. EOS still has serious issues, but governance and centralization problems probably don't matter much for CryptoKitties.
Replying to @Kumaran (0xb197d4a62de6ceb5210d37dceeff72e54b4c5509)
Scalability issues.... hope these will be solved soon... thats when dapps will become mainstream
The Ethereum Foundation is estimating 2020 for sharding. I hope they release some short-term solutions. The year 2020 is a ways away and these high fees may cause Ethereum could lose market share like Bitcoin did when transaction fees exploded.

Hmmm... I was going to send a $2 tip and the transaction cost was listed as $0.76, and that was the cheapest. Am I doing something wrong?
The Ethereum gas fees are insane right now.

Hopefully there'll be a better hands-on way of entering the blockchain world. Maybe if Candy Crush gets tradable gold bars?
Personally, I'm for the concept of tokenized game elements. I also see no reason why tokenized virtual property can't be traded directly with tokenized physical property.
