Will do!

This looks really interesting. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to investigate.
No worries! I have investigated significant but agree, they are interesting.

Curious if Manuka honey is any cheaper there (at the source)? It's a top-shelf item here, touted for its antibacterial effect, and retails for $20-$35+ (haven't tried it yet). Also wondering how much spirulina you were eating to have a beneficial effect?
Somewhat, this one was about $21 usd for 500g.
Still yet to get my next batch of spirulina tablets (gifted the rest away) but I was taking the recommended dose of 6 tablets. Hyperconcentrated protein which was surprising, something like 2.7g in just one serve - for pills at that

The tablespoon-of-honey-before-bedtime trick (on an empty stomach) is gold for morning energy. Sounds implausible but seems to have reliable effects if you're pretty low-carb.
Yup, I’ve found that. Or at least a sleep inducing effect, which provides more energy.
My ongoing commitment to put my money where my mouth is. 4kg frozen greens (mostly spinach, I’m aiming for a Popeye effect), manuka honey, avocado oil (supplement to my normal staple of coconut oil), and ACV. Previous experimenting with spirulina is v. effective for energy/calm..

Then there's audio journals. Eventually, text to speech will get nearly perfected, and when that happens, buttons will start disappearing. We'll be able to skim and scan audio files without listening to them, which we can't really do now efficiently and reliably (can we?)

They will look a bit different and may have more responsibilities but are probably still similar to how they were. The big differentiator is where they are in their lives. e.g. partner, kids, career.
Interesting..

An absurd amount of people I admire/try to emulate have this view... it's inspiring. They recognize themselves in all the ways they are deficient and not up to the mark. And it seems that their drive to succeed is not just despite but because of it. Ambition, or compensation...

I wonder if the future of online identity will be for people to have an integrated collection of all their decentralised social media - like the old (and somewhat current existing) blogs, but pulling from alternatives to Twitter, email chains, Facebook, Instagram, Medium & more..

I think if more people realized this they would journal. The implicit thought that journaling has to be "good" in some way has sometimes held me back. How will you organize your digital journal? I have so many note files scattered about; needs some order.
If you like organising seperate unrelated notes for reference later on, @ryanholiday/Robert Greene’s notecard system looks quite effective: https://ryanholiday.net/the-notecard-system-the-key-for-remembering-organizing-and-using-everything-you-read/

Re: digital journalling: a friend convinced me to keep the best notes in paper form. There’s something special about the physical act of pen to paper that gets lost in the abstraction of a keyboard.
However for things I’d like to remind myself, I’ll be using FutureMe & iCal.

Haha. I like the approach of ppl like @tferriss & @aubreymarcus re: journalling - ie, write so freely that if anyone ever read them, they’d think you were a very troubled individual. What’s the point of censoring yourself to yourself? Better to get it on paper so it’s manageable.

Action. Experience. Curiosity. Transaction. Connection. That's what I'm betting my life on. Once these journals are gone (and it'll be a recurring habit) I'll have no choice but to refine my thoughts & words in an even better way. Destruction is essentially creation, anyway.
(And yes, I fully recognize the irony in that this thread itself has been braindumping & thinking-out-loud...)

Journalling is cheap. Thoughts and ideas are cheap. This Peep/Tweet is cheap. Everything thought and felt has been thought and felt by another human before. Just stare up at the stars one night or read a book by a Roman emperor over 900 years ago…

I kinda like the idea that the majority of my journals will only be seen 2 times - when written, & when destroyed. No one has to sift through my junk when I'm gone. I have the responsibility for the words I put into the world. And my actions, not my words, are what matter. /2

@aubreymarcus in his latest book describes the value of journals as "a running tally of all things -- both external & internal -- that I have overcome on my path to success" I agree… & that's definitely the tradeoff/sacrifice… I'll have to find a way to keep everything important

All in all I feel like the most important part of journalling is helping you become a clearer thinker and deal with complex situations. It's an excellent philosophical tool. I've used journalling to process multiple deaths of people I've loved, and work through a lot of fear.

Rereading a page of @TonyRobbins' #AwakenTheGiantWithin. Never completed it as I'd learned similar principles from people he influenced, but still a great book. "If you don't have a plan for pleasure [made each & every day], you will have pain." "Questions are the answer."
