[1/2] I've been thinking a lot recently… about what help I provide to other people's concerns. How do people see me (& vice versa), in relation to their needs? New opinions: (1) Specialisation is underrated. I like specialists, and they rule the world. I don't specialise enough.
[2/2]
(2) I think in stories.
'I had this problem, so I did this, and this happened.'
Help works the same way.
"[Insert name] can help me do this, because of this"
(3) I can easily define what specific people around me do, but not myself. Time to fix that.

Used to play, it's been a long time though. You?
Once or twice, could never really pick it up, seems to attract a certain kind of interesting personality though...

Whatever you do, don’t take a camera into Christiania! It was incredibly bad timing, but I happened to be in the wrong place with a 150-300mm lens on when the police raided the place. My dumb self thought it was just another Wednesday evening... boy was I wrong.
Yeah, bad idea... Christiania is still easily one of my favorite places to hang out. The lack of bustle, the relaxed pace of life, juxtaposed with a major city - just fantastic. You can spend an entire day just people watching or looking over the lake.

This cafe is excellent if you ever visit Copenhagen: https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g189541-d2689902-Reviews-Holberg_no_19-Copenhagen_Zealand.html

You know it! What areas have you been to there?
Via Norwegian? Denmark and Netherlands. Great experience on both.

Great insight on books via @zenhabits. Finished books are trophies, as are physical copies of digital ones, and big books represent generally unrealistic hopes. Let go of them. https://zenhabits.net/ultralight-ebook
Funny (recent) anecdote: I brought 15 select books with me as I left NZ. In my hostel in Hong Kong, I took them out to sort through - were there any more I want to donate?
I left the room briefly & they had disappeared when I came back. Now I have 2 books.

I must go over to that part of the world in the next few years! I flew only Norwegian, 13 flights total. The intercontinental flights were great 🤤 the others were decent.
Oh yeah, Norwegian are awesome. Great website, cheap prices, nice staff

I flew Singapore airlines SFO to Hong Kong.. it was wonderful. Then flew China southern back and it reconfirmed my love for Singapore airlines! Also, pay the 90 dollars extra for the row between sections. Worth the legroom if you are 6' plus!
Oh yeah, my only regret. I’m just about the perfect height to be able to bear tight legroom, but enough to want more

New Zealand, half Dutch.

@vBookz is a little known, massively useful app. For only $8 you can unlock full voices in any language of your choice, any text of your choice. A few reasons why you should use it:

My conclusion is that if I want to access a DApp for which I already registered in another wallet-app I need to login with the same 12 word phrase. (2/2)
Yep you are correct Jan. BTW, great to see another person from NL here! I love your country.
Just had a wonderful flight with @SingaporeAir. They have fantastic inflight meals + entertainment systems, very nice planes and flight attendants, and the airport is easy to get around. If you get a chance to layover in SIN, do it my friends.
Really admire Janine and Alan’s gig at @easycryptonz. Clean + intuitive UI, good selection of coins, fast process, private key “portfolio” export — really making it easy for anyone to get & use crypto.

Well that’s interesting
Yeah, this is particularly cool because:
1) it’s endorsed by Circle K, a large chain of stores
2) it’s advertised in Hong Kong, arguably the cosmopolitan capital of Asia
Was also talking
to a Russian who works in Shanghai, apparently crypto is pretty big in both of them too…
@jph welcome! Great handle snag.

I did the same with uPort.me in their iOS app. Sign in with the same passphrase as Status.im. My worry is if this would 'polute' an identity from various sources. What would be the wise thing to do? I'd prefer one passphrase so that I can use different apps for e.g Peepeth (2/2)
This is an interesting one, because personally I like the idea of having an accountable, auditable address for all my public identities. But I definitely wouldn’t use the same address for Peepeth as my Ledger/Trezor/whatever future hardware wallet exists

I wonder about the potential false hope in the ability to "design" or "incentivize" improvements in non-physical human interaction. Can technology (a human invention) substitute for hard-wired cognitive biases that resulted from tens of thousands of years of human history?
Technology can certainly make our thoughts/actions more negative, so I reckon it can make them more positive too. There's no reason we can't use those cognitive biases for good...

Nice, thanks @loop!
Almost nothing - there's very little I've left unsaid. I'm living pretty close to my edge. I'd change the remainder of my passwords to the new format that will be recoverable via my mnemonic seed, & post a "memento mori".
Can any Chinese readers find out what this is saying?
Seems to be talking about hygge, smørrebrød, and Danish culture becoming more popular overseas.
