Good question. The tendency is to Peep like we Tweet. However, Peepeth is fundamentally different. The UI should better reflect that peeping is not a toy :) How else can that be communicated?
+1 on the slide to peep ideas.
RP @mehranhydary: @peepeth Great to see amazing blockchain projects that focus on both UX and functionality! All the best.
RP @tysonc: It’s so cool to be using blockchain tech for more than just transferring tokens. This is a game changer.

2/ and fuelling my zest for life. In fact, that's exactly how I like to think of it. Everything I do now is in some way because of how Josh inspired me. And b/c he's not here to ride motorcycles & skydive & bang out mad sets of pushups before business speeches, I will for him.
I wasn't alone in my admiration for Josh either. TO this day the most powerful video I have ever watched is Josh's farewell haka, you can just feel the emotion of his team mates. https://www.facebook.com/PakurangaCollege/videos/1027407107290377/

The funny thing is that the night before it happened we were chatting on Messenger. About dreams for business, what we would do after school/uni/whatever. I lost the chat logs but I remember how positive+motivated he was. Even w/ school, 1st XV rugby, work – he was full of energy

Tomorrow marks 4 years since the death of my friend Josh O'Hanlon/Martin. He was a brilliant, funny, quick-thinking, & entrepreneurial guy. One of the first people I could be myself around. I miss him. I wish I could see what he would be today, I'm sure it would be incredible.

No false pretences and political correctnes. Eating out is cheap. You can get coffee with 1 Euro and a good dinner with 10–15 Euros (or less). People go out on weekdays, not just weekends. We get sunny hot days even in winter. We don’t care about tomorrow we live for today.
Yep, I definitely want to visit now.
@Velominati's Rules of cycling etiquette are well worth the read, particularly rule #12, #24, #25, #47, #50, #55, and the last line of #88. And I very much agree with rule #56. http://www.velominati.com/the-rules/

Lol, and now some Georgian reading this is thinking "why the heck is he coming here then!?" 😂
Why indeed…
But specifically:
*savings last longer
*i like to meet new people and learn new languages/cultures
*georgian food/wine/cheese
*mountains and medieval history
*blockchain friendlier
*closer to Europe
Apparently they like rugby as much as us too…

3/ I guess my main point is not gloating over how awesome NZ/being a NZer is or overhyping it past reality, but more objectively realising the sheer amount of advantages myself and other NZers have thrown at us. Some capitalise on it. Not enough. And we take it for granted often…
This is of course speaking as true for myself than any NZer I notice. I see it in others because it see it in me. So easy to get caught up in life and forget we live in paradise.
No diss for any other countries though, many excel us in opportunities/nature beauty/misc advantages

I think you're being modest here. It actually tells so much more about you, than the country :)

2/ “lottery” i.e. being born in a country with high international trust + positive perception, low corruption, and (although present) low poverty. Nearly everyone can achieve their potential here which is a pipe dream for 80% (maybe 90%?) of the world.
But thank you as well. 😆

Perhaps, but New Zealand is an objectively great country to be born in. Nothing made me realise that than talking to a few expats living in NZ today. We have it super easy to go everywhere (i.e. cross borders) and do as we like without suspicion simply because we won the lottery

In order to write this peep I have had: • a phone+internet access • a colleague who recommended me a podcast that led to me finding out about @tay on the day she joined Peepeth • sufficient computer skills to figure out how to install metamask/buy+transfer ether to my wallet
And a lot more I’m not even thinking of. Anyway, it’s exceptionally awesome to be on this platform, writing a peep right now — good night from Auckland.

There are some elements of luck as well e.g. finding out about bitcoin in 2012, which piqued my interest to run into Cryptopia 4y later – and ofc, like anybody, I have my lows and tragic points. But I recognise I am in a very lucky+unique situation - case in pt writing this peep.

There are truly few people in the world who have won the lottery as I have: born in New Zealand, exposed to business as a teenager, access to internet and computers from 5 years old - and at that, decently funded public school programs with laptops etc

Taking a moment to appreciate that I live in a country that is the real, unknown “land of opportunity” - a place where I can get a job as a teenager, work/save money for a year, and then be able to decide to start a company and in the process fly to the other side of the world.

Just tried Cryptofolio earlier this week… good product, supports quite a few exchanges, live monitoring of select crypto addresses, historical price data… will be keen to see where the team take it from here.

By and far the best way to do it will be to create a feeling of loss/missing out or impeding problem. And we do that by having empathy for their lives - understanding their stories/narratives about themselves, who they are, what life is like. Similar to Facebook, it was super /1
–popular imo not because it added a ton of functionality to people’s lives (which tbf it still did) but because it created a feeling of scarcity, missing out, and that they’d have gradually disconnected social lives if they didn’t join. /2
