kawaii!!! this series has been on my watchlist for a while.
Both the 2003 and the 2017 are worth the watch. They're based off of light novels so the 2017 updates a few things but watch them both. They're so worth it.

they release the third movie in 2012, the fourth is scheduled to complete in 2020. still long way to go. 4th movie is all about new plot development I think. 1-3rd is more or less like the original anime, but with better understanding
Ah the agony of waiting. I might get around to watching the first three rebuilds sometime soon if the fourth is going in a new direction.

Anime was horrible & they were heavily criticized for the art style they picked(which was ugly) IMO, whatever that's worth. If I was getting the Manga to collect I def would want the original Japanese.
I import my manga from cdjapan.co.jp . It's actually cheaper to import manga from Japan even with the shipping if you buy more than 6 volumes at a time simply because a translated volume cost double to quadruple the price. Just have to know enough Japanese to understand it.

yup watched it already, because the ending of the original anime is so frustating lol have you already watch the rebuild of evangelion tetralogy?
I haven't gotten around to watching the rebuilds I might once they release 4 because I heard that they're kind of incomplete and haven't they been doing the rebuild movies since 2007 or something? That's a long time to wait.

Ah that song still gives me good chills so many years later. The composer is really good too. He likes to mix a lot of different languages together in his vocals.

Do you know of any web pages that have the full collection scanned for free in English? I would also just like the physical copy for my collection. That's why I truly want it lol
I think online is the only way to read the entire Berserk manga in English. Dark Horse comics were translating them years ago but they discontinued the translation after a few years.

I enjoy a good dystopian world with a good storyline from time to time but if I watch too much of "we're all F'd shows/movies" I get legit depressed.
Good to mix it up with light hearted comedy. Yuru Camp was good to watch right after Sora yori mo Tooi Basho this year because right after Sora's heartbreaking ending a good lighthearted girls just going camping anime picked you back up. I'm big into comedy anime for that reason.

alternate way is to read the manga (scanned manga) it maintains the 90 era plot IIRC
Yeah the manga has lots of parts the anime doesn't cover. The 2016 and 2017 anime while being kind of bad in their own right also skipped a lot of stuff from the manga. Plus the manga is beautifully drawn.

Berserk is great if you like dystopia fantasies but yeah it is VIOLENT. I watched it first when a friend got back from the military where he picked up the anime bug and loaned me his Berserk box set. Real eye opener. That was in probably 2003. The outtakes were hilarious too.

Man! Berserk was my first hardcore Anime & the worst part is my buddy did not give me a heads up how violent it get. I was maybe 11 at the time! I went back to see if I could find the original 90's Anime, it's actually surprising difficult to find somewhere to buy or watch

Try to keep it positive as the terms say. My personal philosophy is that we're in this constant upheaval between negativity and positivity and our actions ripple out to shape the world. This is a place that makes things better. Also there's a lot of crypto and code talk here.

I need to watch Crystal. It's supposed to be closer to the manga than the 90s anime. The only other 90s era story figures I own are Guts and Casca figmas from Berserk.
