Use Kumavis’s UDAPP https://kumavis.github.io/udapp/ and paste in the ABI and contract address on the front_end page. You can now interact with the contract easily using MetaMask to sign transactions.
Do a single peep (not batch) and once confirmed on the blockchain, look up the transaction input in ASCII and use the IPFS hash to get the JSON for a peep. (Or look up a previous peep).
Modify the peep text and then add to IPFS. Then save the IPFS hash to the smart contract.

@abcoathup didn't you post to Peepeth via the abi and ipfs? Could you provide a little guidance on how you did that exactly? MEW for abi interactions... or? Wanting to test a few things, but unsure of how to do so... TIA

Ok, but then how could you easily iterate over everying on ipfs to find all posts for Peepeth? Wouldn't Peepeth have to keep a local copy of the ipfs hashes? and then if Peepeth shut down ... poof? Or am I missing something too?
Not missing anything. You need a decentralised database/ledger with where to look for the peeps, otherwise you end up with a centralised piece.

Right...good reminder. ... But what are the dynamics of that time stamping issue? And could there be a fix?
I thought there was an issue accessing IPFS via Infura in China. I don’t know how this is worked around in peepeth front end.

@Bevan #clarification So, I was noticing that the convo between @Hannah and @Plumber86 seems to be a little out of order. When you save to the blockchain, is the Peepeth time reset? He replies 1 hour ago to a question she asked 36 minutes ago...
I assume China is a special case so we get strange effects for @hannah.

How long have you been in the crypto space and what keeps the flame burning? I got into it after reading about Silk Road, and the idea of digital currency blew my mind. Lost interest a month in, and back in October 2017 obsessed consumed me since. Wish I invested more then 😁
I’ve been down the rabbit hole for a year now. Every day the ecosystem develops and improves. It’s an exciting time as a software engineer.

Are you able to get the meta mask for iOS? I found the browser, but not sure on the ad on. 🤔
On iOS you can use the following apps, there isn’t MetaMask on iOS.
Toshi by Coinbase http://www.toshi.org/
Cipher Browser https://www.cipherbrowser.com/

Thanks! I'm curious if you see usage stats from Toshi vs. Cipher vs. Trust Wallet vs. Desktops? Any other access points?
@bevan #suggestion can you share any stats? Even if it is % mobile vs desktop.
I peeped directly via IPFS and the smart contract. I tend to swap between Toshi, Cipher and Trust on mobile.

Safe to swim. In summer most suburban beaches have volunteer lifeguards. The only issue is storm water after lots of rain, so normally wait a day or two after heavy rain. Our beach gets lots of day trippers so there can be rubbish left behind :(
Cairns you have the fun of crocodiles, sharks and jelly fish. Which tends to limit swimming a little bit.
Melbourne’s water is just that much cooler though.

One cool thing about stateless design is that it relies on storing content in transaction inputs rather than contract storage, so AFAIK existing posts should not incur rental fees. Not sure about IPFS though.
IPFS I assume there will have to be some cost for storage.
I wonder if we will still see some rent for transaction inputs (at a much low cost than state).

Thanks John! Nice, I'll have to give him a follow. I've had the Toshi app for several months now and was very fired up when I found all the Dapps they listed and found this among them. Yeah I've heard and see similiar visions of what they're doing here.
Toshi has only recently made dApp browsing a first class experience.
Trust recently added a dApp browser.
Cipher was the first to offer a good experience.
They are all moving very quickly (a credit to their teams and they are all on peepeth)

Welcome Chris.
I found out about peepeth less than a month ago when still in beta. It’s been mainnet for a couple of weeks. In that time it is now working on mobile dApp browsers with loads of improvements as well.
It’s a brand new world.

As an aside, I'd also like to see better threading, so all posts in a conversation can be viewed, instead of having to click on each post to see their replies. (see this conversation for an example of some people's comments getting lost)

#Mordialloc looks really nice! Heard Victoria's got a drop-bear problem but that tree seems clear.
Apart from the poisonous snakes, spiders, blue ringed octopus and imaginary drop bears it’s all pretty safe.
#Mordialloc is suburbia by the beach but is also villagey. We moved 18 months ago. We wanted a Home and Away lifestyle after living a Neighbours life for a few years.

On iOS Trust gives a notification when a transaction is confirmed which is really nice (regardless of which app you used to sign the transaction).
