Not rude or impolite at all. It is totally a matter of public record forever and immutably enshrined on the etherchain. ;) As of this #peep, people around the world have spent 4.855847614 ETH on DeezNuts! :p

Did the funds cover your expenditure (excluding time)?

Well done for creating @bob

Can't find Peepeth on my Appstore? Sure it is available outside US? Or are you talking about some other mobile application I should try :)

You can use mobile dApp browsers. On iOS there is Cipher Browser, Toshi and Trust Wallet App.

I think one of the main draws that has made other social platforms successful is the ego boost they provide when others like or share their content. It is that reward system that keeps people coming back. As much as I don't like the model, a rep/stats system is what hooks people.

Though don’t want to build addiction (I already peep a lot).

Also need to find ways to monetise so that the platform is sustainable and @bevan gets to eat.

Maybe tipping is enough, though may need microtips (10 cents)

Thinking reputation systems. On peepeth we have how long someone has been peeping, who was first with a hashtag. (@Hannah has some of the best ones)

The client doesn’t show number of peeps (yet). Nor is there any review of quality. (My quantity is high, not sure about quality)

I don’t like it when the fox watches me enter my password. I suggested that the fox should look away whilst you do that.

When you ever write something cheesy, weird, drunk or just let your friends use your phone it‘s on the blockchain. Not sure if I like that.

Can flag a #drunkpeep as NSFW to ‘hide’ it.

Plus your phone has money in it (hopefully only a small amount, put large amounts into hardware wallets/cold storage)

Leeroy and Peepeth have shown the way for a purely public platform. Cost is solved using a stateless contract and can be reduced further through batching. (Though long term rent onchain and IPFS need to be taken into account).

The character limit in peepeth is enforced by the client, and only comes into play for decentralised storage cost.

Alright peep it... I'd like to have a decentralized blog platform (not steemit) where UI can be customized and posts get backed up via network to retain actual ownership. I need a #Peepeth blog platform to happen, haha. Only problem would be cost if one writes often. Thoughts?

thanks for posting, @Pinastri! one thing that would concern me about such systems is whales, especially when it comes to sophisticated, targeted spam/scams. this is addressed, somewhat, but when your pockets are endlessly deep, prohibitive cost means little to nothing. (。•ᴗ~)✧

Most scams should be stopped. The few that managed to survive by throwing money/time should be identifiable. The community could work on Doug DAO v2 , or find another platform.

Very interesting and very cool. One issue is cost to up and down bets, so would likely need a scheme that didn’t require onchain transactions.

I feel the same. Planning is underway for one. Thanks for the confirming.

Notifications would improve the experience on mobile. I love getting a Trust notification when my transaction is confirmed.

Toshi and Trust are open source. Cipher has an open source library. So could potentially build on top of one of those.

Peeper list in order of joining I believe.
