Bitcoin paper notes! Each note is an entire wallet. https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@styletokill/bitcoin-smart-banknotes-launched-in-singapore
How do you trust the printer not to record the private keys? Would it be inconvenient for a clerk to have to confirm that bitcoin even remains on the note before they go through with a transaction?

We don't peep something life changing on our first peep. We *build* to that.
Animals never had a war. Who are the REAL animals?
Is that life changing?

Anyone catch the recent Vice news episode about "kids on the blockchain"? Very interesting stuff. Vitalik is both awe inspiring and terrifying
Vitalik is a refreshing voice to hear among the other stuff happening in the space recently. Love interviews with that guy.

So.. What makes Peepeth a platform worth paying money to post? Or did I get it wrong? ✌️
All of the benefits of posting on a decentralized blockchain platform. Censorship resistance, immutability, security, etc. Fees will go down as Ethereum scales, but seriously, it's like 1 cent for 15 actions. I haven't spent a dime of my own money for posting yet. Tips help a lot

It will though. In the beginning of the internet it was all text. There wasn't enough bandwidth to send an image. People said it would never catch on, until they fixed it. Next you couldn't send a video, they fixed it. And here we are. BTC is like the internet, all will be fixed.
Under the current "leadership" of Core everyone seemed to have accepted, my hope of that is beginning to fade. I see other technologies fundamentally more powerful and developing everyday, while Core has looked away from basic solutions in favor of impractical solutions like LN.
The "bitcoin is a store of value, it doesn't need to function as money" mindset is a dangerous one I've been noticing frequently recently. Real money functions both as a reliable store of value and medium of exchange. Crypto has the potential to be what gold couldn't.

You have a public key (address/account) and a private key used for authenticating transactions. You are signing in using your account's private key. Your username is your public key, your password is your private key. It is very secure as long as you don't give out your privkey.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong in the case of Peepeth.

Can anyone explain to a non-technical noob - what is actually happening when I do a “passwordless” sign in? Why is it required and how is it secure if there’s no password involved (I assume it’s not an intended access control)?

No statists legislation should have any applicability on the blockchain. Any loophole to appeal to the "right to be forgotten" would defeat the purpose of the blockchain anyway.
Yep. The blockchain gives you the right to be remembered.

My posts on Quora have gotten over 300k views, and for a short period, I was a top writer in the cryptocurrency category. Almost all of those are people interested purely for monetary gain. The attention drops off exponentially the more technical the topics are.
Yeah, the crypto trend is a financial one. However, I'm sure the more technical enthusiasts are grateful for the technical topics, and there are a good bit of them.

The actual posts never get saved to the blockchain, only the IPFS hashes of the posts. IPFS is the actual data store for peepeth. The Peepeth contract code isn't verified on etherscan so I can't really tell you much beyond that (like how action bundling works)
Makes sense, thanks.

There is no IPFS blockchain. IPFS is just a network of nodes that distribute files to each other. When you make a post, it's instantly distributed to IPFS. However the IPFS hash is only saved to the Ethereum chain when you send a bundle of actions to Ethereum.
My understanding is that Peepeth basically uses IPFS like a cache before you save the data on the blockchain. Am I right on that?

Enso is a minimalist zen concept and signifies enlightenment. Limiting it to 1 Enso per day is a good way for a user to reward another user's post if it made their day! Unlike other social media where people give out likes all the time needlessly.
My one issue with it is that you get the unintended opposite effect. People don't want to use it then regret it, so people hold on and forget to use enso at all.

Hey peeple I have a q about how peepeth works. The data is stored on the ipfs blockchain right? So how come we’re paying gas and doing transactions on the ethereum chain?
Exactly. The benefits of being within the Ethereum ecosystem in this way are immense.

You do it by having the same wallet loaded up on both desktop and mobile (using the wallet's passphrase or private key). It's not technically "linking". More like having the same "identity" on both devices.
Yep, just import your wallet seed to metamask or whatever wallet you use on desktop, and you're good to go.
