When you tweet something without thinking about it too much and it turns into something. (That comment though.....😳😂)

Great quote and worthy of being turned into something.

I was using Cipher. Now I'm using Trust because I like new features.

Notifications of transactions and automagic adding of any token are great on Trust.

Trust, Cipher and Toshi all have their benefits. The developers are all responsive. We are lucky to have them all in the ecosystem.

Mobile is where it is at and brings us closer to StarTrek.

I am thinking of removing attributes from mokens, because it is unclear to users what they are. Plus I am thinking that attributes could come from other contracts that use mokens in their games/systems. What do you think? @all @abcoathup

Depends on what your primary use case is for mokens. I created a vanity moken.

Simple is good.

That said, Toshi is open source and the devs are on here too. Glad we have options. Toshi just moves a little slower and happens to be part of giant company buying up IP and talent in the blockchain space. Trust is a way to keep them on their toes! Install both!

Toshi has the Coinbase firehose to open at some point.

Status.im will be mainnet at some time in the future.

@vikmeup is keeping them honest with Trust.

Oh oh! Pick me! Cipher was bought by Coinbase to be rolled into Toshi. So, "Cipher" prob won't be a thing. Trust is adding features faster than you can dream them up. And if you do dream one up before it's on the roadmap - the dev @vikmeup can make it a reality in short order.

I though that Pete was now employed by Toshi. Pete created Cipher but I didn’t see that Cipher was acquired.

A while back SpankChain announced a 300k grant to Cipher. https://medium.com/spankchain/spankchain-and-cipherbrowser-sitting-in-a-tree-53889a58431b

@d2r2 Forgive me if this sounds like a noob question, does this mean you have to continually export/import your private key between toshi and metamask to post using the 2 different chosen channels? Or can you use the same address across both?

Your 12 word seed phrase is your private key. You can use it in multiple places.

Be careful as it is your private funds and your identity.

Only keep a small amount of funds and collectibles in a soft wallet. Valuables should be in a hardware wallet.

Imagine a New Zealand that exports CBD oil & hemp yarn alongside manuka honey & merino. https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/sunday/clips/cannabis-inc #NZ could be the world leader in premium cannabis-based health products. Legalizing would improve lives much more than it'd harm them.

I have had hemp seed on my pasta for years. It is so yum.

I use #peepeth within the #toshi browser/wallet on #ios. It would be interesting to know through what channel other people access peepeth. Has this question already been asked, is there already a thread? Cheers. 🍻

I peep on mobile on iOS. I have Trust, Cipher and Toshi installed.

I was primarily using Cipher but have moved to Trust as @vikmeup keeps iterating. I like Toshi and now that @pete who created Cipher has joined I think we can expect to see lots of upgrades.

A land grab for token names? Interesting, if that's what you mean, like the grab for domain names. Could this 'grab for tokens' be an Achilles' heel of Ethereum?

I meant a land grab for Peepeth names.

Though there is a land grab for token names.

I was hoping it would take longer for Peepeth to attract this kind of thing: accounts impersonating reputable projects and predicting coins will go “to the moon.” The most charitable interpretation is this is a joke in poor taste.

There will be a land grab for names. Greenfield means lots of names available.

I think it is interesting to see tokens offer faucets and the creators hold a %. Whether they can find a use for the token is another question.

This has been coming for a while, but I only posted this week how Peepeth can remove blockers for peepers. I think this has potential to be a game changer for Peepeth.

Thoughts on switching Peepeth to Stellar? Could make the scaling/gas issue go away (not an investor, genuinely curious).

Bet on developers. Does stellar have more developers building for the ecosystem than Ethereum? (I haven’t looked into stellar).

Ethereum will likely scale in future.

Peepeth will likely scale very soon with the front end submitting batches of signed peeps.

Metamask question. Is there a way to set it so I don't have to enter 12-word phrase every time I open the browser on my desktop? I realize there's a security tradeoff but I keep very little money in the wallet.

You enter your 12 word seed phrase once and you have to enter a password each time you restart your browser in MetaMask.

Entering multiple times, something is not right. May need to contact MetaMask support.

Really impressed at how Peepeth's approach to some of the design / UX challenges that come with building a decentralized applications. Deciding on "cheap", "faster", "fastest" transaction time before popping up Metamask is a really interesting pattern.

A couple days ago I asked a bunch of 16 year olds if they'd ever heard the term 'blockchain' before. None of them had. They had heard of Bitcoin, of course. It's too bad. They should be learning about this technology now.

We need to teach our children about distributed ledgers and decentralisation.

... and much less open than they once were ... So, are you saying it doesn't take *too* long to introduce a new platform? Or that it shouldn't be too hard to undo twelve years worth of building a conception about how microblogging should work? You lost me a little bit!

Both.

We think of twitter as the encumbant micro blogging platform. It isn’t even a teenager.

Peepeth could be bigger than Twitter.

Yeah - I'm of the opinion that social media can be made better with an open backend. It's hard to get people to imagine something they know - but completely rearchitected in a way that changes incentives, power structures, and interactions in non-trivial ways.

Twitter is only 12 years old.

Yup. Or simply being able to explain to 'nontechnical' friends/family what crypto is and how they can use it - in events of gifts, inheritance, etc.

I gave a one year old some ETH, a Crypto Kitty and some tokens waiting to create meaning.

For the cost of a cup of coffee (at a gas station, not Starbucks), you can save a sizeable chunk of your thoughts and be free from the chains of data mining and targetted advertising. Free services are never free... someone has to pay the piper.

Use use use.

On peepeth, there will be data mining. There will be attempts to target you for scams.

Peeps are all public.

Good points. I'm excited to see how decentralization affects commerce, entrepreneurship, order, networks, impact etc... I'm part of a project that can hopefully solve a part of those problems, particularly [restoring access to misplaced accounts]... see AfterPass.co :)

Social recovery will be very interesting as we get more users in the space.
