Meal prep is an important part of Flex's time management, fish is great brain food too. #sharewhatmatters
Cats like to eat fish but fish don’t want to be eaten.
I didn’t realise that cats could cook. Thanks for sharing @flex.

Hmm interesting.. how many Peeps vs how many peeps https://peepeth.com/stats
Good to see my percentage of overall peeps dropping.
I told some folks I programmed in Ada.
Yes I am that old.

@koalalorenzo peeped about his project so testing out learning more and more about IPFS. Just hacking away trying to learn IPFS, and React. Going to try and make a gallery, then maybe start a simple photo contest with a smart contract. Trying to learn. I love this stuff. :)
Nice.

How cool would it be if we had a decentralized Medium on the Ethereum Blockchain? 🔥
Store markdown in IPFS, with version hashes in stateless contracts. Could even use peepeth identities. @bevan.

I admit i tried to submit it, but it was complaining about my browser not allowing captcha - which has never been an issue before. Kind of a bummer! I've submitted it to the team so hopefully it gets taken care of - but twitter just wrote saying they deleted the offender!

Trying this now, Thanks! Sent in an official complaint to twitter already. I figured this would be a great second step and it seems it's paid off!!
EtherscamDb is where I start. Then can use that to report on Etherscan.
Harry (@409H) is the expert, so always worth checking if there is anything else to do.

There is a scam happening on Twitter impersonating Giveth, trying to get people to send them ETH, promising to 10x it. The address is 0x87318b9B7EED24F69907D53EB7727C0a590f3588. Whatever you do, please avoid it!!

how can I move / login my peepeth account from Chrome / Desktop / Metamask to Cipher?
Your private key controls your funds and identity. Be cautious providing you 12 word seed phrase into any app. Triple check via multiple sources.
Recommend only having a small amount of tokens/funds in software wallets.
Make sure you have a secure backup of your seed phrase

Nice policy. Then other clients could see your peeps. Nice way to end the day. Plus if you use a low gas price then plenty of time for it to be confirmed.

@vikmeup trust wallet been working extra smooth, thank you for making a good product. Just, maybe, not have me have to paste my priv keys in. Like use the memetic.
You can use your 12 word seed phrase on iOS, so assume it will be added to Android at some point.

Is there anything equivalent to 2FA that I can use to protect my MetaMask account / address / whatever it is? I feel like I should know this already. I'm more cryptocurrency-savvy than the average person but the operational hurdles abound! </whining>
A hardware wallet.
Protect your private key and when using software wallets only store small amounts of funds.

Will be launching https://ethercashlinks.com on peepeth next week!, please critique my idea and give feedback? (finishing the copy and fixing last bugs coming days)
SendEther would be better name.
I created a link but couldn’t redeem.
Make it work on mobile (copy link didn’t work).
Be upfront on monetisation, assume it is a %.
Include using a mobile dApp browser for redemption.

Andrew - Could you provide some additional info how you were able to get that peep on ipfs? Maybe a quick step by step - if possible. Would love to learn how to do it. Thanks
View your transaction on Etherscan.
On transaction input, press convert to ASCII.
Copy the IPFS hash (starts with Qm) to the end of this URL https://gateway.ipfs.io/ipfs/
For batches, then grab each IPFS hash.

I just sent a note to Feedback on the bottom of the page and was charged usage. One improvement suggestion is for Peepeth to at least pay for product Feedback post #peepeth #feedback
Feedback should be free

I guess it is possible! So then why you need the blockchain?
You could use IPNS to get to a list of IPFS hashes. To prove who peeped, you would want peepers to sign every message.
So you could do it but would still need public/private keys.

Andrew thanks!!
To the peeps stored on-chain, anyone can access. I looked this all up on mobile just using etherscan and an IPFS gateway.

I mean... instead anyone who wants to can scrape your data, so I don't think privacy is a big difference.
Your data is public on peepeth. Anyone, now or in the future has access.
Replying to @PaulBaier (0x5c9f8c228f0988671c08698e3564bdd7592beec5)
is there an easy way for me 2c my blockchain post w/out using the Peepeth front end? I'm not technical. Is this doable or do I need to find an engineer? I'd like to verify that my Peep would remain on a public blockchain if Peepeth goes dark (if I understand correctly)
Your peep/batch is stored in IPFS. The hash is stored as transaction input.
Your peep:

Maybe an adoption angle for Peepeth is to got close with all the ICOs. I was very surprised by so many ICO using Telegram. Perhaps Peepeth could be a niche "crypto-enthusiast, 'in the club' 'cool kids only' " tool
Anyone on crypto twitter (at least Ethereum) is an easy fit. Anyone with MetaMask (1 million) is an easy fit.

FWIW, this is the ETH tx id of my first twee... I mean peep. https://etherscan.io/tx/0x22ba9df07126faea06861df22db07abfd8dd63de364580b2a4c8b98911e90623
And this is your peep on IPFS.
So any client could read the transaction input and get the IPFS hash to your peep or batch of peeps. No dependency on peepeth existing, just the blockchain and IPFS.

True, but I suspect that normies don't care enough about advertising or data collection to change their behavior. We'll know for sure when we see Facebook's next quarter numbers... That said, small and niche communities can be awesome.
Niche communities have had spaces for a while and there are lots of options.

I think the general population is waking up to the pact that they have made with Facebook. Which may impact engagement. I need an alternative for sharing photos with family.

If you put your requests in the feedback (bottom right on mobile) then @bevan can track them all.

I just bid on a couple of #CryptoKitties for the first time! They're so cute, and the breeding mechanic would have been super cool on Neopets back in the day. I could see kids really getting into CryptoKitties, actually. Maybe I'll teach my niece when I see her next.
CryptoKitties to me was the first mainstream blockchain app. Though it needs to be on mobile. Peepeth in my opinion is the second.
Add in mobile dApp browsers and you get some mobile experience. Native clients will make further improvements.

do others have predictions of when Peep posts will be instant? Is this 2 years out? 5 years? never? I understand short-term performance issues, but I am trying to understand when this service can take 20% of Twitter volume/users
Peeps on the blockchain means any client can see them.
Peeps in the peepeth database means only peepeth (or any peepeth allowed clients can see them).
I think scaling is an issue but there are multiple ways to address over the next couple of years.
