New sauce I just tried: teaspoon minced garlic, tablespoon ground ginger, and 2 tablespoons sriracha. The ginger burn and the pepper burn combine for a compounding of heat that has my eyes watering so be forewarned. But the flavor is amazing. Will put on chicken tenderloin again.
Awesome. Will make it this afternoon and post results. Thanks for sharing!
Time for squats. What’s your workout today?

That's great news! (How are these images ordered?)
First by nets purchased, then best looking :) jk the second criteria is account age I believe.

This was done completely digital. I use an art program called medibang paint, and I usually draw by hand with a mouse. It takes me about 2 hours to complete in most cases.
That's impressive. Digital drawing seems like it would be much harder in a sense- having to translate everything through the mouse- but cool that it can be revised more easily. I'm inept at drawing but want to gain basic proficiency.
From yesterday's #web0 break.

Hey Peepers - I'm heading to Venice, London, Berlin, Český Krumlov, Prague, and Maidstone in June. Let me know if you (or your friends) live nearby want to meet up! I'm always up to meet new people. Also (CONT) for travelhackers...
Awesome! Looking forward to (continue) living vicariously through your travels.

Thank you!
I’m curious how you made your illustration? Is the whole process digital or did you start on paper?

I've never met a garbage collector that wasn't likeable, the job seems to attract a ton of enthusiastic dudes. I might do it myself some point in the future...
Some of those cans are heavy. But it seems to pay pretty well (here at least): $35/hour in Oakland according to a cursory search on Glassdoor.

$25 isn't that much. Under 3 hours work in most countries. I'm pretty sure @Bevan is coming out with new badges and charities, though.
True. I'm more concerned with upping donations than minimizing negative on-platform consequences. Potentially fewer users must be weighed against the benefits (to-date, several decades of quality-adjusted life). Still want to make contrib badges more accessible.

That's almost 2 weeks of income for many of the people these nets are trying to help. If we're going to build a platform that empowers people across the globe instead of perpetuating cycles of dependence then we need a reputation economy that doesn't reinforce existing inequities
Good points - a lower donation threshold is most likely on the way.

Also, I agree with Vitalik's ideas about extending the badge system, and its potential for abuse by corporations. I think badges for proof of time/volunteering/contribution would be a great place to start. I see the badges repo is public on GitHub and would love to contribute
Appreciate your willingness to help. The badges in the repo are rewards for the crowdfunding campaign, and don't have to do with the malaria charity (which are indeed proof of effective giving).

Idea: a single webpage that allows you to display any transaction from any blockchain. The syntax simply looks like rootdomain.tld/btc/$transaction-id & displays a simplified version of the info you'd see on Etherscan or Blockchain.info, with links to view more. Would you use it?
Wondering if most people generally work with one chain and if they already have an established way of checking TXs on it. For example I currently only work with ETH tx’s and Etherscan works for that purpose. I do like simply pasting the TX in the URL though.

I hope Peepeth continues to improve the badge system and create new donation tiers because the current scheme is actively hurting my ability to recruit fellow working class folk for whom $25 is literally the difference between affording food or medicine and paying for popularity
Appreciate the feedback. The charity badge system will be changing- ideas welcome!

Thanks for sharing! Glad to have another person peeping from North Dakota. The closest I've been to Grand Forks is Fargo, on a windy motorcycle trip.
Taking a #web0 / Audible break.
A brilliant gradient today in Oakland.

Just read The Warrior Ethos by Steven Pressfield (in a rare single-sitting). Very nice book. Top takeaways: in warrior cultures: •Adversity+poverty is prized because it provides freedom •Shame is used to promote unity and honour •Dishonor is scarier that spears/bullets
#lkie Thanks for the rec.
Re adversity: "A nation is born stoic, and dies epicurean." -Will Durant. The idea seems to apply somewhat to individuals too. Necessity is the mother of invention.
