I did the same. Did you play Worms too?
Worms Armageddon was a great game back then.

Visited a different and darker neck of the woods today.
If you see anything like this, run.

What I think is right, you think is wrong and vice versa. That’s subjective. But who’s to determine what is right or wrong? By this logic there should be no laws as there is no right or wrong as it’s subjective. Why should someone be punished for what they thought was right?
In context, I was referring only to speech. The user should have control of what they consider to be right or wrong, and what they choose to engage with. I think this definition may be a little different from the Buddhist definition of "right speech" that Bevan mentioned.

Shit yeah! Just got my grandma AND my dad to buy bitcoin. My grandma may buy a larger part later (currently only $100 worth). I'm also currently trying to get a bank wire going to get my money out of a stock trading account I set up 4 years ago and pop it into BTC too

Wine of the... week? Day? I don’t even know what my stats are at anymore. My first Sicilian wine bought from a roadside vendor. Wish me luck
Is that wine bottle... plastic?

Someone recently made this falling sand game that I found the other day.

@jm9k hey there, wild shot, but do i know you from prodigits forum or some symbian irc channel some 20 years ago?
I was probably on some forums and IRC channels back then, but neither of those ring a bell.

Is it confirmed somewhere? It's wonderful if real.
Multiple sources show that it is true, but the success seems to be exaggerated. The beach was cleaned, but keeping it clean is difficult since there is still much pollution in the area. Turtles have returned for the first time, but not in massive numbers.

I love the intention and theme set throughout Peepeth, though I can’t help but think “what are we actually doing here?” Same with twitter and Facebook. Further - why do I spend time here? What’s the benefit to that on a deep and meaningful level?Perhaps I’m one not cut out for SM

I used to I used to do almost all of my coding at night until very late, which seemed to help me focus. However it took a toll on other aspects of my life (ie health). Waking early and working first thing (or after gym) has worked out better for me productivity- and health-wise.
I've had the same experiences. I'm still trying to find the right balance and method. Recently I've been trying to work outdoors during the day.

No one can force anyone to have right speech. Who’s to determine what is right speech. It’s up to us to make the conscious decision to do right but then again what is right? I believe speech to be a vent. Not all the right chemicals flow out but if closed a vent can explode.
What is "right" is subjective to the user, and that is where the determination should be made.

I've got four bags of beer sauteed onions and mushrooms. Had to do something with the remaining mushrooms so I vacuum sealed them with scallions, garlic, and ginger with a healthy marinade of coconut oil to be sous vided. Should go well with a Chinese dish. All now in the freezer

Found an unopened physalis (Cape Gooseberry) from last season. The fruit stayed inside its paper-like wrapping, and decomposed into this beautiful result: nothing left but a mesh cage and seeds. Nature is awesome--I thought it was too cool to not share! #gardening 😻

New life. #redwoods
Redwood trees are rather amazing. They have the ability to reabsorb dead branches to recycle them into new ones. The upper canopies create dense clusters that support entire ecosystems of life that never touch the ground.

Just fixed. Clear your DNS cache to be safe @jm9k? For #AWS nerds that want to know why it happened: - I set up a beta us-east-1 SSL certificate (in this case our API timbo.txbatch.com could be verified 'as' txbatch.com) - But 'Timbo' is in us-west-2, and can't 'see' the cert
Looks like it's working now. 👍

We are still the lunatic fringe. I don’t know if it will ever be “mainstream” even when there’s mass adoption. Might just be under the hood, so to speak, which is fine with me. Brave’s ad rewards and Facebook/Kik/Telegram launching coins are interesting developments to watch
There is movement towards tokenization in the more traditional stock market. Institutional adoption of these system could lead to much more widespread adoption of cryptocurrency as well. But yes, right now it is no where near mainstream.

I considered selling these on Peepeth, but with Easter behind us I think sales would be pretty bleak :)
If they made a sugar free organic version of Peeps it would be an empty box. 😛

Nice. The constant walking (treadmill desk) must be really good for overall health. Do you walk barefoot on it?
Sometimes, but I find it difficult to maintain a barefoot walking/running stance for extended periods.

I haven't ever been to the states, so in retrospect I can't really a blanket statement like that. But the majority of Americans I've met have been Californians, and what I always admire about them is their self-confidence. Also I admire America's general focus on the customer.
I hope you will get a chance to visit at some point. I am sure you will find a very wide gamut of different lifestyles. I believe that you are probably correct in regards to DIY though.

Give a try to Brave (https://brave.com/dre300). The engine is the same as Chrome without all the tracking stuff added by Google.
The last time I used Brave the UI looked like a rough draft. I’ll give it another try at some point.

I switched to Google Chrome (from Firefox) because it was so much faster than everything else back in the day. Since then I've made a conscious decision to forgo speed in some cases for privacy. Today I use Vivaldi or Brave.
Firefox runs my essentials, such as todo lists, calendar, mail, project management, and time tracking. Chrome is used as the default for web browsing, and I keep the plugins to a bare minimum to keep it fast. Vivaldi is primarily used for media, such as music and video.

On a daily basis, I use a combination of Chrome, Firefox, and Vivaldi. I find that there are advantages, especially while developing, to having multiple browsers going at once.
