๐ก Leaving an idea to think of for Peepeth here, how can we verify ourselves without using current social networking site like Twitter? With no technology background, I feel weird to move on to the next generation product with a need of the current one.
One project trying to accomplish identity by utilizing in-person relationship networks is BrightID (www.brightid.org), a project founded by Adam Stallard @castall.

Decentralized identity services are very much a holy grail for the industry. Vitalik Buterin recently mentioned it on his blog post about collusion. https://vitalik.ca/general/2019/04/03/collusion.html

I'd be happy with either, although I'd also love to visit Thailand or Vietnam.
All four of those places sound great to me.

Hello! I'm Bo and I'm a beginner crocheter so I'm going to be posting the projects I'm most proud of. Once I get good enough I can take your guys requests. I'm happy to be here.
Sounds fun. I look forward to seeing your creations, and how your skills progress over time. ๐

Happy Monday all. Whatโs on your list for the day? Working on Peepeth badges and related features.
Iโll be reworking a key piece of the storage layer on the RigidBit blockchain that Iโve been putting off for a few months. There was a specific issue I had been unsure about, but it came to me at 5am when I should have been sound asleep.

I spotted this herd of wild potatoes earlier today. They must have a similar migratory pattern as the yams. #InTheWild
The potato herd has been infiltrated by an onion. They donโt seem to have noticed.

Cool. Iโve never done P90X but it looks legit. Have enjoyed doing more calisthenics recently.
If you ever decide to take a serious look at it, check out P90X3 and 22 Minute Hard Corps. They're both the same guy, but much quicker and harder than the original P90X. It's a great workout if you have a tight schedule and need to finish in 30 minutes instead of 90 minutes.

Time for front squats. Whatโs your workout today?
I've been taking it easy for a few days because of severe allergies, but I might go back to P90X today.

Ice cream season starts. At least here in Germany. Whatโs your favorite flavor?
My favs change depending on a number of factors. Right now it would probably be plain vanilla with a large dollop of unsweetened whipped cream, dark chocolate fudge sauce, raw cocoa nibs, roasted mixed nuts, and finished with a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder.

Crazy idea: re-use plastic waste to make coffins. Current coffins arenโt designed to biodegrade anyway and it might send a good message by connecting plastic with death
Sounds like a good use to me, for those who feel they need a coffin. I'm personally more in favor of cremation as the default.

I was on Skyline in Oakland I believe. Were you on Grizzly Peak in Berkeley?
Yes, it was most likely on Grizzly Peak Blvd in or around Berkeley. It's basically the same mountain ridge though. Skyline Blvd and Grizzly Peak Blvd intersect at some point in Oakland.

I agree with the sentiment of acknowledging people's flaws. But neither my grandparents nor I have ever pretended they're not flawed. I still believe they have a lot to offer me, because they are people I'd like to become like - self-responsible, open-minded, optimistic, curious.

How long do you spend on your phone per day? Going to cut back to 1 hour and see what happens.
My iOS devices are telling me 3-4 hours a day, but mostly on the iPad. Most of it is work related or YouTube videos I play in the background. Strictly on my iPhone? Probably 30 minutes or less.

After my grandfather passed it took me several years to realize many of his deeper flaws. Those who knew him had great respect for him, but he was still human. He greatly excelled in some areas, and fell short in others.
Acknowledging the good without the bad is praise to a fictional character.

While I also believe in what you say, there is a counterpoint. The elderly, while more experienced, are just as flawed as anyone else. Itโs important to take a deep look at the insight they provide, because youโre taking in the good with the bad.

*with. But I counter with "experience is wasted on the elderly". I try to call my grandparents as much as possible to absorb their life learnings but I know no matter what, I'm going to miss some and learn them myself.

Hope you feel better soon. Is the treadmill desk your main work space? Iโve never tried one but like the idea.
Yes, my main workstation has a desk with adjustable height and a treadmill. It works well most of the time, but I generally can't use the treadmill for more than an hour or two.

Whatโs your workout today? Feeling some pre-squat butterflies.
Just a walk on the treadmill desk while working on my computer today. I started breaking out in hives yesterday, which I believe was triggered by some combination of sun, sweat, and the allergens floating around in the wind. I'll be taking it easy for a few days.

Another interesting finding: โ...China has developers that are the most optimistic, believing that people born today will have a better life than their parents. Developers in Western European countries like France and Germany are among the least optimistic about the future.โ
That is pretty much the opposite of what I would have expected.
