Yeah, his point of view was totally focused on investments. Managing big money seems easy but, actually, can be scary.

Lol I would never think it would be easy. Where does this popular idea of investment/business being easy come from, anyway? Seems like everyone thinks the world's biggest CEOs or VCs are just sitting in offices smoking fat cigars all day. No, they're busy people who run things.

I can attest that it's possible to go from 0 to 5 in a week of casual pull-ups doing them twice a day 😅

Good to hear, I'll make sure I start then.

👇 I'd love to see a book/film about this. Just imagine the old games of power being taken to a whole new level with crypto running the world.

A large subset of the go-goers actively try to get gifts off the billionaires. They are derogatorily referred to as crypto-diggers. But this doesn't stop them. The dApp version of Seeking Arrangement becomes wildly popular with 000s of diggers looking for crypto-daddies/cougars.

A small subset of the go-goers are more ambitious. They commit their lives to stealing from the billionaires. With the wealthiest no longer entrusting their security to banks or centralised institutions, the opportunity to steal generational wealth is ripe for the taking.

Go-goers are the sporty, attractive young people who join the billionaires on their endless parties in real-life Elysium. Their unstated job is to make the billionaire look good, perform tricks, take the best photos of the billionaire for the 2040's equivalent of Instagram.

The year is 2040. BTC is at 99% market dominance. The world's financial infrastructure runs on crypto. Fundamental social inequities have not been resolved nor exacerbated. Crypto billionaires live lives of constant partying on real-life Elysium. A new class rises: the go-goers

He is an angel investor, a young one (and already involved on new tech and blockchain). His view maybe was more focused on succesful business cases.

Twitter still has plenty of area to grow IMO, as does something like Peepeth, but I don’t know much about investing.

@scaur - got the bars & plates off craigs, people are always selling weights. $200. the power rack (with bench) was brand new off amzn for >$400. that is not a trivial amount of money, but it's an investment in health, & a gym membership would catch up to that quickly.

Definitely the right mindset - an “investment” - and you’re right about the gym membership being expensive, in fact the only benefits I can see in a shared gym > home gym is social life and travelling

Yesterday saw a speaker say «Nobody cares about a decentralized Twitter». My question for you today is: why do you #peep?

Who said that? I care about a decentralised Twitter. I want people to be accountable for what they write online. And I like how Peepeth is remarkably free of outrage and short-term thinking.

VERY true. The longer you stay, the warmer they become though. To the point of not wanting to let you go... -_-

Yes especially if you are enthusiastic and friendly you will eventually have to churn out some "visa requirements" excuse. Which is occasionally met by an insistence that you find a member of the local populace to marry, as has happened to me in both Georgia and Sicily so far.

Never as many as I'd like :) I love pull-ups because when I started, I couldn't even bend my arms. I usually shoot for 100 over the course of the workout.

Wow! Incredible work man. I'm lucky to pull off 2 on a good day. Working on it though. I hear the key is to get a really good back.

Agree, but I don't think YouTube/Twitter will die in the next 5 years, maybe even 10. That's enough time to build an automatic scraper/saver.

How about Latte Fund, where people donate their daily coffee money to an EA charity.

I'm down for this, if it means people still get their coffee. I'd be happy to pay $10 a coffee if it was fairtrade & actually went directly to people who could use it.

The biggest observation I've made, after living in several countries, is that the majority of people aren't welcoming nor rude. They're just completely indifferent.

The cool thing about indifference though is that you can control it. If you're enthusiastic & friendly, or hell, even just polarising, you'll meet a lot of cool people.
