The new API explorer is just one of the ways we're working to make it simple for developers to build and integrate with Streamr products. Check out this short overview from Matthew Fontana: https://bit.ly/2CU0Zey
Very nice @streamr - love the UI.

Big hug for the tip. As mentioned, I'll stay at current employment for next 2 months, so new opportunities will be on the radar as the spring progresses.
Oh, sorry, misread earlier, thought you meant weeks. Well, still plenty of places to go, and I'm sure many opportunities in the UK too.

Just more messing about with acrylics. I'm not a particularly 'serious' person, so I like to give paitings names that are often deliberately 'arty' or wildly random.
Very nice @mgolder. I think that's a good thing, art doesn't need to be serious or useful.

Oh, that's a good name! Looking forward to discovering them. By the way, you might like https://headwayapp.co/ for a nice changelog widget.

All excellent advice. Thank you for the words of #encouragement (and the tip!). I feel like the balance of salary vs. mental health vs. personal growth has shifted in the past 8 months and it's a good time to reset things a bit.
Also, if you intend to move anywhere at all in Europe, or want to work in a blockchain co, I might know some people who can help - Keybase.io/JamesScaur or james at txbatch dot com

That's great. Feel free to come join me down in Palermo, where I'll be staying in a 155€/mo apartment and coworking from for the next 2 months. 36€ flight from London. Always love to hang out with people into crypto.

Incredible how a few days of missing gym, sleep, and real food unravels you.
Energy, ability to focus, ability to be happy, desire to socialise, hope/ambition for future.
On the positive side simply getting those 3 things right pretty much means you can handle anything.

Last weekend in Brunei's capital, we enjoyed our first International Kite Festival. Great turnout, relatively little rubbish, blue skies. Traditional & modern kites, large & small. Best of all, the delight on every face, young & old, seeing the colourful array of kites in the sky

For the first time in my life, I'm going to resign a job without another one lined up. Last day will be in 2 months. Feels like I'm off to adventure.
Congratulations! I remember the same feeling from just 5 months ago. Don't worry, it's far less risky than you think. I recommend getting phone numbers / etc, writing your coworkers endorsements, and doing a thorough (+creative) inventory of your resources (people, things, help)

Is there a tl;dr version, the pic stays blurry for some reason.
Cryptopia are reopening and will reimburse crypto for $NZD value at time of hack (pretty generous considering the token price dump)
My first & hopefully not last stay at @PrimalBaseHQ #Amsterdam was significantly better than I expected. No idea how they are making money - I’m sure they’re burning at least 1 ETH a day. Hope the market picks up - free snacks (incl vegan/gf), nap room, coffee, booze - real nice!
@Cryptopia_NZ responds to customers (sorry for long screencap):
Love it. So proud of how New Zealand is handling the tragedy, and the outpouring of global support.

I'd just like to add that this is *always* true. We are always evolving, if we are living thoughtfully, we are always self-overcoming. Your associates (if you have them) -- but, more broadly -- **how you spend your time** determines who you will become. You, today, be vigilant.
So if you spend your time around a good mix of smart, ambitious people who disagree with you, you're pretty much guaranteed to be smart, ambitious, and open minded.

Yep.
Also - it becomes WAY easier to change yourself if you change your friends. Hard to not work out at the gym, hard to smoke around non smokers, hard to hard to go balls-to-the-wall crypto evangelist around your normal friends.

I think that, more than your environment, the people you choose to surround yourself with have a massive impact on who you become. Whether it is your words or your worlds, it is important to choose very carefully.
My words on this screen become what people know me for in a very specific community of peepers. These people around me at this coworking office see a dude writing on an orange website and totally not getting any work done. Lol

I should clarify, that's what I mean by environment. The people and objects that you live around.
We need more words for this kind of thing! 'Community'/'tribe' sounds weird, 'group' is inspecific, 'ecology' is too clinical.
But whatever it is, it's powerful.

Doing on-chain analysis of yourself is **brave**, especially since you understand the tech well enough to know what you're doing/committing to. Wording is important and taking things out of context can always spin intentions, but, in context, your introspection was quite clear.
Thanks @CallMeGwei. Glad to share Peepeth with you.

So to say I'm doing critical analysis on myself is an understatement. I'm not going to pretend there's anything that makes me different to this shooter. I'm just lucky to have the great people around me that I do... https://twitter.com/JamesScaur/status/1106918768624746496
Not my best peep. There are many things different to me and the shooter. I should have said something like "The shooter has really shown me how important our environment is in shaping our beliefs. I'm going to turn this into a positive thing by making sure I question myself more"
Replying to @satsearcher (0x6348dbea8987c27f8462755e493f64d99c28dd05)
...feel like it's my responsibility to seek out more of those similarities, recognise what my words do, and change what's in myself so that I can ensure I never become like this dude. https://twitter.com/JamesScaur/status/1106916179535425537
Also wasn't fair to myself here, in my heart of hearts I don't believe I have the capacity to become like he was anymore. I've simply been exposed to too much to ever *consider* believing his kind of ideology.

I'm also aware that within myself I share far too much with the shooter than I'm comfortable with, like ironic/dark sense of humour, tendency to be idealistic, previous browsing of the chans including /pol/, and of course similar backgrounds (NZ/Aus, no uni, into crypto). I ...
I wasn't fair to myself here. I should have prefaced that with the fact that I've recognised the danger of 'edgy' humour for a while now e.g. I left Facebook in 2017, partially due to wanting to get out of private groups that regularly shared offensive memes. I try to be good.
Replying to @satsearcher (0x6348dbea8987c27f8462755e493f64d99c28dd05)
Just like you’re lying to yourself if you say you wouldn’t be a Nazi in WW2 Germany, you’re lying if you say the shooter was a deranged monster. No. He’s far more similar to you and i than we want to admit.
This is an example of breaking https://peepeth.com/a/terms, it's speech that doesn't give any joy, happiness, or good to others.
I should have added "but by embracing this, we can change and prevent this happening again"

I agree re. benefits of sharing honestly, and I'm a big fan of that. I won't regret it (in fact, this is one of my favourite parts of Peepeth, no delete, you're forced to be your real self). But I did break https://peepeth.com/a/terms by being unmindful in my speech. Will learn.
It's moments like these that I really appreciate @Bevan's hard work to build a platform for mindful speech. Even if it will take a longer time for adoption, it's very important.

By sharing honestly, others will also learn, and reflect, on what they themselves cannot, or will not, say openly. But there's a way to allude to those thoughts in a shielded way, maybe. Anyway, thanks.

The message I got was that the capability for evil is in all of us. I agree. Reflecting deeply on how none of us are exceptions is an important step towards understanding and progress.
Hit the nail on the head @Bevan. That's what rattled me so much.
Booked my first day @PrimalBase #Amsterdam for a mere €2 worth of $ETH. If this is the future of coworking, I'm a very happy participant.
Just deactivated my Twitter account. I'm now a #xeeper (exclusive peeper)

Holding you to it! @bevan - would be cool to stake some $ on digital "off" days. If you fail, you lose your stake.
I like the idea too. Also, making peeping/reading peeps more expensive. I just spent the last 2 days pretty much hijacked by Twitter, sucks, am reconsidering whether it's useful anymore. Esp. now that Peepeth has a strong userbase...

It takes a big man to own up to his shortcomings. Good on you, James.
Appreciate it, however in hindsight I should have held off posting that, collected my thoughts a bit better. My bad. I'll learn from it.
I think my main takeaway now is, what we read matters, what we write matters.

There's probably never been a better time to be alive (depending on how you like to spend your free time and how much you value owning your time), but there have been plenty of times being "white" was probably more empowering. Moving away from that has been a win for the world.
I don't know, I'd rather be a white guy today than a white guy at any point in history. Not really something I like defining myself as though.
