Lol I would never think it would be easy. Where does this popular idea of investment/business being easy come from, anyway? Seems like everyone thinks the world's biggest CEOs or VCs are just sitting in offices smoking fat cigars all day. No, they're busy people who run things.
Exactly. I would be scared of doing a bad move with tons of money 🙈

Twitter still has plenty of area to grow IMO, as does something like Peepeth, but I don’t know much about investing.
Yeah, his point of view was totally focused on investments. Managing big money seems easy but, actually, can be scary.

What if blockchains actually, eventually, prevent that kind of concentrated "success"? 🤯
That's my hope. I do understand not all the people would buy it.

Maybe not any given one... unless it's instant portability. I can't imagine that the ability to switch front ends - to boycott corporate bad behavior, if nothing else... but mostly to experiment and support innovation - with no effort required by the user, is not a game changer
Disruptive business by his point of view are business exploding in 2-4 years massively (i.e. Uber, Whatsapp, Netflix and so on...)

Have you seen people go nuts when the social media services get hacked or suffer an outage? Blockchains can certainly address the latter issue... and possibly the former too at some point. *People will care as soon as they understand.* I truly believe that.
I don't think these values are disruptive or game changing. The view of an angel investor is to identify disruptive business.
I love the culture behind Peepeth but I am unsure it will explode soon.

Who said that? I care about a decentralised Twitter. I want people to be accountable for what they write online. And I like how Peepeth is remarkably free of outrage and short-term thinking.
He is an angel investor, a young one (and already involved on new tech and blockchain). His view maybe was more focused on succesful business cases.

Yesterday saw a speaker say «Nobody cares about a decentralized Twitter». My question for you today is: why do you #peep?

Slowly slowly getting there. Brave on mobile, now brave on desktop.
Good move. Explore DuckDuckGo’s “!bangs”. They are so powerful you will miss them while using Google. https://duckduckgo.com/bang

The majority of my search goes through DuckDuckGo these days.
It’s my only search engine.

What's your talk about?
Blockchain, cryptocurrencies, cashless society. Most of the people here are, let’s say, “traditional investors”.
EtherEvolution at its best. I will have a talk tomorrow. Will try to mention #PeepEth 🙂

Lovely :)
Why #Peepeth does not show a preview of the reply message on the email alert? I find it annoying (sometime time wasting) to click on the link in order to discover it...
Any good blog post for a summary about the next technical evolutions of #Ethereum?

How can you (truly) push for privacy with a closed source product? Who can ever know for sure what data is being saved for later, when a backdoor is rolled into an update, etc etc... I applaud the message, but can't trust it.
I do prefer to believe in law. Google’s software design right now is totally oriented to user data-mining. Apple’s policy is not. It would cost money to Apple to disregard its promises.

#Apple is pushing hard on #privacy matters.

https://www.tradingview.com/x/qELgKhuO The trend is changing as you can see on this BTC/USD 1Week chart. Parabolic SAR and MACD confirm it. It is a good time to make money. Or at least it is a good moment for me.

I see so many people arguing or complaining about online privacy while using Facebook and Google services. So weird. As if I would say «fast driving is pretty dangerous» while driving like a crazy. You can do something for your online privacy. Now. https://privacytools.io
Have a look at https://securitycheckli.st/ too.

Instagram sucks at export, I left as well and had to manually write a userscript to get the images off the page. Worst of all, they never had a consistent place of storage. Tagged photos, multi-photo sets, single photos, videos - they all showed up differently...
If I am not wrong they should have an export tool now (because of GDPR).

Gotta say opera has a way better dapp browser experience then trust for now. Multiple tabs, dark mode and a add to home screen option for progressive web apps like peepeth!
Never loved Opera but I have to say that I tried it almost 20 years ago. I guess user experience has been improved during these years. I love Firefox but I should give Opera another chance.

It typically sneaks up on me but if I remember I’ll save after each peepsesh. There will soon be an optional feature that lets you auto-sign from an authorized key that Peepeth manages, which can be revoked at any time using your main address.
Nice idea @Bevan. It will absolutely improve daily usage and user experience.

#Tor #onion speed is not that bad for me.
What's your result? Just open your Tor browser (https://www.torproject.org/) and point to speedof.me [results may obviously vary due to many factors].

I suspect that could become prohibitively expensive once IPFS starts charging when they shift to Filecoin.
I am not sure how much actually the Internet Archive costs.
It would be nice to create a copy of The Internet Archive (https://archive.org/) on #ipfs + #blockchain (for versioning).

Thank you. "secure core"? The speeds look fine for mobile usage, for me anyways.
Yeah, same for me. Secure core is an advanced function (https://protonvpn.com/support/secure-core-vpn/) which I don't need for my usage (avoid/limit tracking).
Replying to @arf (0xcbfc277ebdeaf7e07a0d1c2ff1e345627cc6306b)
Hey @emanuele, what are the limitations/restrictions of #ProtonVPN free tier? I'm using OpenVPN at home, which I VPN into with my mobile whenever I'm away.
The server selection is smaller, you cannot use "secure core" function. Maybe the connection speed is slower (but good enough for my usage).
